I always questioned our depiction of what other life forms are like. Does our interpretation from movies, tabloids, and etc. have a correct depiction of those life forms? or we wrong about them? i guess the fact that we get caught up in how our society is and used to seeing humans, animals, and insects, we think such things are not likely.

The portion of the universe we've seen is such a small insignificant amount I couldn't possibly begin to think that we've got it figured out or that there is no other forms of life out there. We'll probably never know for sure. In the small portion we have seen, we've seen plenty of candidates for life (carbon based).

I dont think in terms of purpose when it comes to existence. The reason for that would be a whole long rant. However, the other heavenly bodies and contents of the universe do have an impact on how we've came to be. Some of the products of Stellar Nucleosynthesis are inside of our bodies and form the heavy stable core of our planet.

Nice question. I wish I had a Spaceship.

I've always believed that both Mercury and Venus had life form way back in history - further back than our B.C. or A.D. records go. I believe that they got too close to the sun and all life form vanished because of this extreme heat. I believe we are the next to go - with each year getting hotter and hotter - last year being the hottest since they started keeping records. It won't be long before we too - like Mercury and Venus - are an inferno of flame.
If that is what you believe, then what is that saying about the creator?

The universe is awesome, even scientists themselves are baffled at the superb organisation of the universe.
Rocket expert Wernher von Braun said: "The natural laws of the universe are so precise that we have no difficulty building a spaceship to fly to the moon and can time the flight with the precision of a fraction of a second. These laws have been set by somebody."

Because of these laws, hence why the earth rotates on its axis, it is tilted 23.5 degrees in relation to the sun. If the earth were not tilted, there would be no change of seasons. Climates would be the same all the time. If the earth were tilted much more there would be extremely hot summers and extremely cold winters.

Sumyr…

You were right about one thing, the earth will indeed meet it’s fate through fire; but it won’t be because the earth moved too close to the sun. When most stars use up all their fuel, they swell up really big. Some explode in what scientist call a Super Nova.

Corals…

Yes, the universe IS awesome. And very beautiful. Some of the pictures from the Hubble space telescope could be framed and entered in an art show. I’ve always thought that women were much more God-like then men. For me, looking at those pictures only reinforces that concept.
