HowTo Use the AfroAwards System.
The AfroAwards system was installed to provide a fun and yet effective way for residents to recognize their peers for exceptionally positive contributions to the AfroCommunity. When an award is issued, it shows up as an icon in the resident’s postbit window. The images and icons representing the awards will be customized over time.
Viewing Awards:
Awards can be viewed:
As icons in the resident’s postbit window.- In the resident’s public profile.
- At the AfroAwards page by selecting AfroAwards from Quicklinks on the bottom navbar.
Issuing Awards: - Go To AfroAwards by selecting it from the Quicklinks menu.
- Click Request Award for the appropriate Award you would like to issue.
- You do not have to indicate your name, but the other fields MUST be filled out completely, or the Award request will be denied.
- Please do not contact the AfroStaff for any discussion or status about an award request, as we will not discuss the reasons for acceptance or denial of any request. This would overwhelm the staff as we have other duties to fulfill as well.
- Awards are removed at the discretion of the AfroStaff.
Improving the Awards System: - PM a staff member with the idea and/or images.
- Request a new Award category.
- Submit a new image or icon to represent an award.
- Cash Points are awarded for all implemented ideas.
