AfroChat Rules! A Must Read By ALL!

1. No Advertising
a. We DO NOT tolerate spamming the board. Accounts that start off posting advertisements or plugs will be IMMEDIATELY deleted without warning. Advertising is ONLY allowed through the listing of websites in our Links Directory!

2. General
a. Use mature judgment on what you decide to post here. Any post deemed objectionable or inappropriate will be deleted without warning.
b. Stay on Topic.
c. Avoid starting threads that have recently been discussed.
d. No Post Chaining. If you have a large amount of content in a post that exceeds the maximum, do not add another post to complete it. Instead, use the Article system for such large content.

3. Gender-Specific Forums.
a. If you are a male, don’t post in the female forums. If you are a female, don’t post in the male forums.
b. If you see a topic in the gender forum, do not ‘hijack’ that topic by starting the same in the public forum.

4. News Forum
a. Standards of Integrity is of utmost importance in this section. News posted in the News Forum at AfroChat must conform to ‘standards of integrity’. This standard is enforced to create and maintain the trust and confidence of our readers when reviewing news posts as legitimate, reported news rather than conjecture, speculation, or opinion driven by the poster. When posting news, you must provide:
i. At least one link pointing to a credible source
ii. Some comment or opinion of your own along with the post.

5. Graphics
a. Signatures: Sigs can only be 400 pixels tall and 100 pixels wide for regular members. No exceptions. Signature cannot contain links to another site. Sigs promoting images of Racism, UncleToms and negative representation of black culture will be removed.
b. Avatars: No larger than 95x95 pixels.

6. Trolling
a. Trolling is defined as an member that persistently and consistently engages in or starts combative, insulting or degrading discussion and commentary. Don’t confuse this with being disagreeable. We embrace a respectful difference of opinion. But trolls server one purpose; to create and continue discord. Trolling will not be tolerated.

7. Personal Attacks
a. Attack the argument or point, not the person. Personal attacks such as name calling, profuse profanity and slander will not be tolerated.

These are the Rules and they will be enforced!

8. Sanctions for Infractions
If a member is found to be in violation of any rules, AfroChat Staff reserves the right to take any of the following actions, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation:
a. Deletion of Post/Thread
b. Merging of Thread
c. Infraction against member
d. Banning of member
e. Banning from specific forum
f. Reduction of member access to site features and content.

This is an adult community, so we seldom have to levy sanctions against members and we hope this trend to continue. Have Fun and get to posting!
