This is funny. I sometimes visit White conservative forums and they can't stand Obama. They think he is a racist for attending an Afrocentric church. Some of them actually believe he is the so called anti-Christ mentioned in the Bible. Some even think he is racist because of what he said in San Francisco about them clinging to guns and have apathy for people that don't look like them.

I guess Obama can't please everyone.

First and foremost, the magic word you said is White conservative. Just those two words alone speaks volumes granted the skin Obama is in.

Secondly, if these individuals we were so knowledgeable in the Bible/Theology in the first place, they wouldn't feel threaten by him being in a house of the Lord especially since all Judea-Christian Religions & Islam are based on the Old Testament. It seems to me that they are harboring Anti-Christ sentiment, talk about the pot calling the kettle Black.

Third, it is no secret that allot of NRA members are in rural areas and happen to hunt often. Now, if he touched a nerve, so be it.

True. In the end for them, it is about preventing him from being President of the United States by whatever means necessary. They do not want to admit it, but they fear this man.

why do we or should we care about what whites think of Obama? Especially when most of us don't even take the time to honestly know what Obama is about? There will always be people who form negative opinions on unsubstantiated information.

I think the white media, except for Fox news, is doing a hell of a job to get Obama elected, so I don't see where you are coming from with that piece.

That still gives you or I no excuse to act deaf dumb and blind.

If he would have mentioned white fathers instead of black fathers, the public would have crucified him. He was pandering.

Yes, he did say what needed to be said. And yes, he did give a lame praise of fathers as an after thought. But Obama new the news would pick up on, and run with the negative part of his speech.

And, going with your logic hear, I've compiled a list of other things that NEED to be said by Obama, but for some reason arent:

• Institutionalized racism
• Why America is negotiating with Iraq to build permanent bases in Irag.
• The effect that open immigration has on job availability in America.
• Why Jena Six deserved more attention from black leaders.
• Why Black men are disproportionately incarcerated in the State and Federal prison systems.
• Why America has never accounted for or paid for the atrocities commited against africans during the slave traid. We have paid reperations to just about every country we were at war with.
• Why he 'says' he's against Free Trade, but will not move to reverse NAFTA.

The list goes on, but you get the point.

We need to get to the point where we're no longer worrying about the singular actions/motives of individuals. If we are doing what we need to do, there'll be no problems. We need to stand up and be counted. Until we get organized it is our own fault.
