It's the truth. You terribly contracted yourself here and DBlack called you out on it. How can you can make sense to yourself in light of this. You openly support and defend a man who has values that are the direct opposite of yours!!

Obama is a Democrat. UI support him as the best among a field of entirely lousy candidates. I am never claimed to be anything other than an Independent lifelong cadre of the All-African People's Revolutionary Party. Clearly this means that Obama and I do not see eye to eye on everything.

so basically - Obama pulled a Cosby?
Obama isn't qualified to speak on this issue publicly becuase he's perceived as being a Tom?
I posit a question - who would be better qualified to talk about black issues in a country where black folks opinion - real ones anyway - clearly are ignored on the regular?
I don't disagree with a lot of what's being said, but I don't agree with a lot of it either. At the end of the day people are going to vote for either this dude or the other one - who really cares less....it's a tough decision because if you don't vote people will chastise you for not voting and therefore tell you that you have no reason to complain. You could also say that you were excercising your right not to vote - even though several of our ancestors lost their lives for our ability to do the very little we do now - MLK, Malcolm et al. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't dilemma....
Personally I'm voting for Jesus - can we write that in?

Poorly or well:
Both Cosby and Obama told it like it is!
Those of us who had or have done so before them also ask?
So what y'all gonna be 'bout?
You can continue to regress and retreat:
You can choose to progress and compete...
Are you fellas able and willing to take on all comers (and regain your ancestors etc. former places/spaces as equals among the world's people)?
Or will you continue to be the inferiors of the rich and powerful of this one white dominated empire (which for all intents and purposes is into decline as well)??
Your call...
Your choice...
FYI...

A truly enlightened soul would not want the job. When a group of Jesus' followers tried to make him a king, he ran off into the mountains to get away from them [St. John 6:15].
Buddha was born into a royal family, a prince and the only son of a king. But, when he became of age, and realized that kings were no better than any other criminals other than that the law excused their crimes, he ran from the throne as fast as his dharmic wings could take him.
The American presidency attracts men who are ruled by ego, not men who are ruled by godliness.

A FDR led a nation from bad times to good times too...
A Harry Truman did things for our folk sans a movement:
Though it did take a black movement to kinda sort force another white prez--LBJ-- to do other things--as well?
Obama may or may not be all that I or you and other would be critics wished he'd be:
But there always will be 'the first'!
Also as long as white wealth and power calls the shots here:
All we can hope and pray is Obama won't just be the last-!
Or me and mine--you and yours--doggone sure better come up with some practical and workable alternative(s)...
FYI...
Take care...
Later...
Peace..

What does that say about you...the fact that you support a man that you can't even intelligently argue in support of. And now, based on your own words, we know the reasons. Too bad you choose to be like so many self-imposed ignorant black folk. And then you have the audacity to use the word hope.
We need real men, not clowns, uncletoms and politicians.
You need to sit down for you have just clowned yourself.

Do keep that in mind, too, Dblack...
And another poster on the real...

Right....as in I'm saying, I've already cast my vote - for him....so this election is pure hogwash - it's entertaining - but hogwash non-the-less.
