What are you're thoughts on Obama's CNN speech on race?
I remember pretty much who does and doesn't support him from the past threads on here. If you haven't seen here, I know you heard about it, here it is:
Barack Obama Philadelphia Speech on Race and Racism In America
I'll respond later.

I thought it was a great move and a even greater speech. Doing damage control, this was the best he could do.

Obama once again showed himself to be the UncleTom that he is. He is so concerened about not offending anyone, he can't stand on consistent principle.
First he came out (before the speech) and denounced the pastors words and views. Then he comes out with the speech and maneuvers as not to offend blacks too much, nor whites.
He is showing that he is NOT a man of change, but rather more of the same. The sad part is that the black collective has decided that pro-white appeasement is now fashionable.

Brotha Obama was once again eloquent and on point. While managing to not throw anyon under the bus he dosed almost all of the fires around him. The only problem I have is, brotha Barack should have done this the moment that endless loop of clips surfaced. Whatever he does these white media outlets are gonna do everything in their power to keep him in a negative light.

Plain & Simple Brotha D, Obama implemented the old fence straddling technique like most politicians are notorious for using. He knew eventually it was going to come to this point . Ahh, the joys of being a politician in the skin we're in.

Speaking of fashion, check this out. Now, this beats the cake. I had a feeling it would come to this foolishness. A company called Herobuilders made a 8 inch doll out of Obama.

Nothing can be further from the truth. Obama has been getting more favorable media treatment than Hillary and McCain. He has star power right now, and the media is simply too afraid to be on the wrong side of history. That's how superficial and inherently disingenuous the media is.
Eloquence should never be mistaken for integrity or morality. Rush Limbaugh is eloquent. Adolf Hitler was eloquent. Jesus was not, but you got his point...
The fact is, Obama thinks very highly of his paster, and he should. His paster never said anything wrong or inaccurate about AMerikkka's deeds and past. Obama came out over a week ago to publically denounce his approval of what his paster said. Why would any real man feel compelled to dishonor someone who was such an integral part of his upbringing? That was the first Uncle Tom Move.
Uncle Tom Move No.2:
Obama then has a speech and tries to deflect on race. The issue had nothing to do with race, and he never even talked about the real racial problems in American and how HE, as PRESIDENT would fight to solve or fix them. His speech was to appease white folks. If Obama was of real character and consistently, he would have stood by his pastor, or simply refused to discuss his personal religious affiliations, by citing the constitutions emphasis on "separation of church and state".
Wake up my brothers and sisters, he is not a man of character, sufficient enough to represent us. And he certainly can't stand consistently on his own beliefs.
Obama has shunned black media figures, civil right leaders, civil rights organizations, and now even some of those closest to him, for the sake of the popular and all mighty white vote.
And I'll end in the form of a question: Why is it that Obama did NOT express disapproval of his wifes comments about 'not being proud to be an AMerican in 3 decades'? didn't we hear Obama state that he "loves Amerikkka?" Would we not be right to infer that he approved of her remarks, if not altogether agreed with her? And if he did, should be be leading this country?
Let's get over the superficial excitement and start asking the obvious questions....

*yawn* I watched it for about a minute and a half. I can already tell you how the whole speech basically went down and how it ended up: Same ole, same ole....

DBlack brah, it seems like you expected something different from Obama and got mad because it's nothing different. He's a POLITICIAN!!!! He's gonna stradle the fence on everything, the only change we will get out of him is him using change as part of his platform.
