1--Obama said he would require Cabinet officials to speak to Americans via national broadband town-hall style meetings to discuss issues at their agencies. He also pledged to issue an executive order that information about the government's operations must be released to those seeking it unless it could harm a protected interest.
2--Obama cited his record of backing ethics and lobbying reforms, including co-authoring a bill that requires all government spending to be posted online - allowing anyone to do a simple Internet search and find that information. He said that during his time as a state lawmaker he helped to create hospital report cards so that patients could understand the quality of care offered at each hospital.. 3--he grew up outside this country, Indonesia and Hawaii. He attended a Moslem school for 2 years as a young boy. That he was Moslem but turned Christian later, possibly because it looked better politically. When he swore in as Senator, he used the Koran instead of the Bible. Is any of this true, or 4--he said he would remove the nuclear deterrent off the table, meet with any leader of any nation, and made statements about invading Pakistan, our ally. His history of an education linked to islam and his current black-centric church beliefs are too radical to play across America.

With religion playing such a large role in politics these days, I think his church's views are pertinent.
Trinity United Church of Christ We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community. The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision: 1. A congregation committed to ADORATION. 2. A congregation preaching SALVATION. 3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION. 4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA. 5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION. 6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION. 7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA. 8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION. 9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION. 10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY |

Do you think a man's religious affiliation should be considered a qualification?

Some things to concider first!!!!!!!!!!
The Obama Illusion,
Please read this link carefully and impartially regarding Obama's accomplishments, and if you feel that any of this material is false or derogatory, you have the prerogative to investigate the validity of this presentation. I am placing the link because the article is too long |

I know this a thread of accomplishments and qualitifications but I was wondering if these statements he made would help as well. When I did the MyElectionChoices.com - Political Web Site for 2008 Presidential Election, I found out I agreed with these actual statements that he had made:

Thank you for starting this thread. My father and I were discussing the lack of support for Obama the other day and how his record or lack thereof was in question. He told me to go look up his record in the Illinois State Legislature and check into his background as a State Senator and his record of community service.
I hadn't had a chance to start looking yet, but this thread is a great vehicle to begin exploring. Websites I found and these are for research purposes only as I have not had a chance to look into them yet.
