Its crazy the people who were actually the victims of the whole situation are the ones who received the hate mail. Gotta love this country we live in.....

I'm not surprised that these young, beautifull sistahs would be receiving hate mail after being the ones viciously insulted. Venus and Serena get hatemail for being champion tennis court players, from Americans!

These young ladies have to be strong, I don't feel sorry them at all. The threats to them should not be taken to lightly but they ought to be laughing at the hatemail they receive... they ought to get together and share laughter with comrads, family and friends alike.

Women playing a game and now they are being hated on. Oops they didn't know they were always hated on because of the color of their skin. Come on now, folks. Let's keep all this in perspective. According to what I've been able to find out, the "hate mail" the basketball team received amounted to....

"' 'two or three e-mails'' but had also received ''over 600 wonderful e-mails.''

Seems to me the REAL story is the enormous support these women have received across the nation by no doubt people of all colors.

I can't beleive any black man would sit here and make light of this. I don't care if it was one email. It's egregious and indefensible. likewise is your defense of this act.

No one's making light of "this act" or defending it, but two or three hate e-mails just aren't significant compared to the 600 supportive e-mails the basketball players received. Those who sent the two or three e-mails are to be condemned but in the larger scheme of things, in my opinion the hate e-mails aren't even worthy of news coverage.

The focus on the two or three rather than the 600 is an example of how we sometimes ignore positive news in order to play the race/victim card. Eventually we'll come to understant it's a low card with little value.
