And anyway, Presidential experience is pretty much a myth. Out of the 43 Presidents this country has had, none of them had any real experience prior to taking office....none of them. The only men in this country who can lay claim to Presidential experience are the ones who've actually been President (i.e., Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and George Bush Sr.), and none of them can or are willing to run again.

How does one go about gaining the experience to become President? You don't. Nothing you've ever done in your life can prepare you for this difficult job....nothing
LOL!

It just goes to show how much effort people will put into defending the incompetent and unqualified. First of all, Obama is no Abraham Lincoln, so let's not even open that can of worms. And Lincoln did not win the civil war, nor did he end slavery all by himself. Brush up on your history lessons. And even if Lincoln did all those things, he had a lot of failures as well, and he certainly isn't dealing with a global economy and more pressing issues of our time. There simply was no need for international policy at that time. Geez man, come on; you think others are stupid?!

Secondly, EVERY other modern day president had some experience managing a checkbook larger than their own. Obama has never been part of managing economic policy on ANY government level. Now all of a sudden you think he's going to manage the largest freemarket economy in the world?! That's halarious! EVERY other president actually traveled over seas and had international ties and experience. He's a joke, and anyone that supports him is a part of that sad joke, unfortunately.

I'll say it slower for you: NO President has every run on, and succeeded on hope alone. You are simply drinking the coolaid, and it shows everytime you post. You don't even know what it is Obama will change, as you've certainly NEVER mentioned it here, and you probably never will.

You think that some magic is simply going to sprinkle out of the sky and he will suddenly become this great leader for black people and white people. What a foolish notion. Have you not learned anything from George Bush jr!?

It looks like his election is imminent, and I look forward to listening to you and others make excuses after excuses (like repubs did for Bush), when he proves to you what a total and utter fraud he is on all fronts.

The media and the black community have elected Obama. In much the same way Bush got elected, we are guaranteed to have the same results if not worse:

- He will NOT end the war as promised.
- He will NOT fix medical care
- He will NOT create jobs (still no solid policy announced)
- He will NOT reform immigration and strengthen borders
- He will continue to allow Mexico and China to undermine jobs here.
- Blacks will not benefit in ANY way from him being in office. That's ANY as in NONE.

Let's just focus on the facts instead of fantasy items like 'hope' and 'change'. You and all the other Obamaists still don't know what that is.

I'll keep saying, because apologists like yourself keep crawling up from under a rock. Until you can show evidence of Obama's competence, you and all your minions are part of the problem and not the solution. No one needs any more false-hope and empty rhetoric. Since that apparently is what you stand for, by all means, vote for him. But save the lies, misinformation for someone else, we don't need the garbage. Black people need solutions, not symbols.

Ok, couldnt've said it better myself, though I love being powerfully ignorant!that's what i'm talkin' about. Like the ATLien said, how do you gain experience being president when you've never been president? With all the family experience George W. had his presidency should've been fairly smooth(maybe) but he's an idiot and only an idiot with that much "experience" can foul things up.

Look homey, not getting into a drawn out debate with you on this because you can't debate someone who is coming from a personally, seemingly emotional standpoint because it's obvious you have a personal and emotional problem with Obama. You're saying focus on the facts but what facts have you given that Obama is 1)corrupt?..or more corrupt than any of these other candidates/past presidents, 2) who the hell are you to say what Obama will or won't do?, and 3) electing ANY president past, present or future hinges on "hope" that they will do as promised, just as important as their track record of what they've done already. And if you recall, it wasn't so much as the same way that Bush got elected because those working for Bush helped him get elected thru sabatoging the election process. If we as black people need solutions then help us out Bill Cosby.

@DBlack: based on what I know of american history, I'd venture to say that "good president" is an oxymoron. That's another discussion, however. Just sayin'...

@MrAtlanta: invoking Lincoln's name is a bit disingenuous imo. Lincoln, a white supremacist, issued the emancipation proclamation for the purposes of freeing enslaved black people in the South, not the North (and this is aside from the fact that the majority of the South did not comply). Simply put, he was playing politics more than anything else. Sure, the 'proclamation' spurred some momentum towards abolition (which wasn't official until the passage of the 13th amendment), but it didn't free many people. I could go on, but my main point is just that I don't think it's appropriate to bring Lincoln into this, as if he's some example of what a "good" person/president is.

If I may interject, I (as well as others) have mentioned Cynthia McKinney on the Green Party ticket. And, dare I say, Ralph Nader?

Either of those candidates is, by leaps and bounds, much better for america than clinton/obama/mccain is.

Perhaps what Mr. Atlanta is telling us is that he can't tell the difference from a white supremicist to half-white Obama! ....Interesting.

Of course, we can't always generalize about mixed heritage considering how many of our African ancestors got here & were raped of their pure lineage as a result colonization/slavery. Some of our people are dealing similiar situation like Jefferson decendants. So let's keep that in mind.

As for ATL,for all we know, he could be an Oreo Supremicist in disguise offline with an hidden agenda.
