Obama has my vote because he has the charisma to bridge the divide between so many people in this country.... if it wasn't for him, Gov. Bill Richardson (D-New Mexico) would easily get my vote.

Why would any Black person vote for "Adolph" Guilianai ( or however you spell that s**t )....???? One of the most racist mayors in the history of New York....

Barack's got my support

If you want to hang someone for changing their mind, then you might as well be a Bush supporter; he hasn't changed his mind on the war one bit. That's not the kind of leadership we need.

Barack has got to bring more to the table than the fact that he voted against the war. As much as I hate to admit it, right now, he has NO record. NO mayorship, NO governorship, no established record as a congressman. No experience as a successful businessman. I'm waiting and hoping that in the next year, he can show me much more. I want to give my vote to him, but I gotta have compelling reason to do so.
How about the fact that he's a Blackman that's not an uncle tom and seems to be able to "listen" to people..Why do we make the job of President out to be brain surgery or rocket science...If a person needed so much "experience" then why throw him out after only 8 years...???? The brother has more common sense then any other candidate and he hasn't sold out yet...Hillary has , Edwards has , Guilanni ( or however you spell that sh**) has...Barack offers a fresh approach and finally a person that will understand the plight of black "worldwide"....What we need is a show of complete unity and support for the brother instead of searching with a fine tooth comb for a "reason" to vote for him...With that type of negative attitude , who does that benefit...??

Different Standard

I'm not sure about Governors or Mayors , but out of the 535 members of congress..84 have been arrested for drunk driving , 21 are defendants in lawsuits , 14 have been arrested for drug-related charges , 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least two businesses , 36 have been accused spousal abuse , 8 have been arrested for shoplifting , and these are the people that are running our country...You mean to tell me Barack would not be a good choice for President...??? Not to say that he's running against anyone that falls into these categories , but if something was bad about his character trust me we would know about it by now..So far the only thing they can come up with are a few unpaid parking tickets...And what's more American then not paying parking tickets...???..It's time to show a force of unity and stop making excuses for not supporting him....

Is he really, though?

Drop some knowledge on me.... cause I've heard some New Yorkers say the same thing, but I've never known WHY they say it.... what racist tendencies has he shown?

When it comes to how a President is chosen, the entire American electoral system is rigged, on several levels, to reflect not the will of all Americans, but the will of White America. White America decides which two of all candidates they can live with, and then the rest of us get to help choose which of their two choices gets the job.

We all know this, on some level, but the reality is just too troubling for most of us to process.

The last couple of elections, being so close, clarified to all who may not yet have known that the President is NOT elected by the majority of voters. Instead, he is elected by the majority of electoral college votes. The electoral college votes of each state, in turn, are cast to reflect the will of the majority of voters in each state. But, in ALL states, the majority of people allowed to vote are White. The periodic redrawing of electoral districts, the cleansing of persons with criminal voting records, the current mass hysteria over Mexican-American immigration, and the mysterious absences of enough voting machines in urban areas are all symptoms of White America's firm commitment to do whatever it takes to ensure that NO state ever has a voting majority that is not White.

But, it gets worse. The primary system ensures that the choice of both major parties reflects the will of White America. And, or course, the majority of both major parties are white. But, it gets even worse than that. As we saw in 2002 and 2004, White Americans will even cross political lines and vote in the other party's primary to ensure that the final two choices are people they can live with.

We can, despite all this, choose to vote on principle. But, one has to be honest enough to at least admit that such votes of principle change NOTHING. By 2000, I had figured out the game was rigged. In protest, I voted for Nader in 2000. Then, in 2002, trying something different, I split my vote between republicans and democrats. In 2004, I conned myself into beleiving that Kerry was different. By 2006, I just said to hell with it and stayed home.

It's been proven that Bush stole both elections...

Guilanni ( or however you spell that s**t) basically made it open season to kill unarmed Black people in New York ...When borhter Diallo was shot 19 times for pulling out his wallet , Adolph said that the New York cops should use different bullets...I'm not making this up , the man's a racist and I feel that 911 was made possible in part because Adolph was promised a higher office...I know some of you here are going to say that I'm crazy for thinking that our government was involved in 911 , but there are just too many unanswered questions..For example , how did the Twin Towers "really fall"..?? And how did the other buildings near the Twin Towers fall...?? And why did they all fall the same way...?? Please did not reply be using the same tired line about Jet fuel and a oil fire...Something else was going on during 911 and Adolph Guilanni ( or however you spell that s**t) was part of it....DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT VOTING FOR HIM UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO GO BACK TO THE COTTON FIELDS....

Perhaps, the revolution of Afrochat is the start of something. There's power in many voices versus one.
