civil rights were tangible benefits that were achieved by working the system, your views not withstanding..

is it your position that anyone who does not agree with you has therefore failed to do the things that you suggest above? in other words is it possible to have a disagreement or is there only one way forward?

What do you do after the independent research? Do we let things happen,or try to make things happen. Mmm,, Black and woman candidate. I don't know about ya'll,but ole boy never seen that in my lifetime. I mean viable capable of winning candidates. It's a new toon to me. Is it really in our best interests to sit on the sidelines? Peace Out!

I would never profess to having all the answers, so no, I don't fault anyone for disagreeing with my views. Like I stated earlier, everything I'm saying is my own opinion, nor do I wish to shove it down anyone's throat. Sorry if it appeared that way.
I will, nonetheless, disagree with your view that civil rights are "benefits." I tried, but I was unable to rationalize such an idea (but that's another thread I suppose).

With all due respect, I believe I answered that question in my post that you quoted.

Since are Civil Rights 'benefits'? Inalienable rights are not benefits. You claim to be a warrior, fighting for the black collective, but yet you don't even understand the fundamental meaning of what Civil Rights are.
My elder you are, but wise, you obviously are not...

Brotha, don't waste your time trying to spoon feed the cognitively impotent. While I don't completely agree with you, I fully understand and respect an intelligent view.
See, it's far too convenient for many of us to bank on hope or other forms of baseless emotion. Thinking is too much work for them and, the very act of intelligent thought, forces one to actually hold themselves accountable for their own logic, or lack thereof. When one is laced with hope, they are simply free to believe whatever they wish, with no boundaries or rules of logic....
