Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in Nevada, but Obama won where it really counts, and that's the number of delegates received.
Nevada's Delegate count: Obama 13 Clinton 12 In a race this close, a small number of delegates could be the key to winning the nomination. Just something to keep an eye on as the nomination process goes forward. Quote:
Did Obama win more delegates? - First Read - msnbc.com So, who won Nevada again? LOL Go, Obama, Go !! |

my personal feeling on this whole thing with Obama and the Clintons - they spend far to much time saying they don't want to talk about Race and then spend the rest of the time defending that choice.....
This morning he was on GMA talking about Bill and his 'troubling' statements. Black folks need to wake up and realize that neither Obama nor Clinton are the black men they profess to be. I actually had a conversation with a woman the other day who was trying to tell me that I should vote for Hillary because she's a woman.....I said "And, what does her experience have to do with mine. She can't relate to me as a working black mother" the experiences are entirely different, besides I don't need her to do that. I need her to tell me how gas is going to not be 4.50 a gallon so I won't have to decide on milk or gas while I'm at Safeway.......Why I can't get ahead in the employment market and why we as a people can't get out of our own way long enough to make an impact and not only demand but make the changes we yell at the top of our lungs for." She can't, and that's why I'm not voting for her. is he serious: Black leader to Bill Clinton: 'Chill' on Obama - CNN.com The man is increasing in his lunacy, and playing right into their hands by not focusing on the issues that people are concerned about that I listed above..... What kind of F'ery are you Obama....??? Last edited by slickbitty : January 21st, 2008 at 05:21 PM. Reason: to add why I won't be voting for Obama either... |

Clinton is acting like an attack dog, but if we had a spouse running for President, would we be any different?! It's funny.
Obama's pro-Reagan comments were dispicable. Obama is a Reagan supporter now? Did he not read history; Did Obama not learn how damaging Reagan's policies were towards blacks, minorities and less fortunate? The more Obama talks, the more ammunition he gives to his adversaries, because he's simply cannon fodder. I'm sure the debate tonight will be interesting.

I'll find it on the internet, it's out there. In the debate last night, he was called out for it by Hillary and his explanation was weak. In a nutshell, he was complimenting Reagan policy , which by the way, was anti black in terms of economic empowerment, eco-development, and race relations/rights.

From blackagendareport.com - Freedom Rider: Why We Write About Obama
" "I do think that for example the 1980 election was different. I think Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not. He put us on a fundamentally different path because the country was ready for it. I think they felt like with all the excesses of the 1960s and 1970s and government had grown and grown but there wasn't much sense of accountability in terms of how it was operating. I think people, he just tapped into what people were already feeling, which was we want clarity we want optimism, we want a return to that sense of dynamism and entrepreneurship that had been missing." CNN is projecting that Obama will WIN South Carolina !!!!
It is projected that Obama will win 81 percent of the black vote, while Hillary Clinton is expected to get only 17 percent. Oh, and BTW, Obama gets roughly 25 percent of the white vote as well, while John Edwards receives roughly 44 percent. Hillary Clinton who is expected to receive only 36 percent of the white vote. It seems as if Edwards is being quite helpful to Obama by spliting the white vote. John Edwards and Hillary Clinton are now fighting for second place. If she comes in third place, it will be a stinging rebuke to the Clintons and their unsavory tactics of race baiting. I'm so proud of my people tonight in South Carolina for taking care of business. And next Tuesday I'll do my part here in Georgia. Go Obama !!!! Last edited by MrAtlanta : January 26th, 2008 at 07:40 PM. |

The results of the SC _democratic_ primary are irrelevant. SC is a red state, as are most of the former slave states. Obama won the _democratic_ SC primary because most voters there are white and most of them vote in the _republican_ primary, not the _democratic_ primary. That state's electoral college votes --- the only votes that matter in a racist republic such as ours --- will be awarded to which ever white guy ends up as the republican nominee.
Our [their] system awards all of each state's electoral college votes to whom ever the majority of that state's voters choose. And, in EVERY state, the majority of those "who are allowed to vote" are white. The Electoral College System guarantees that the President will be whom ever the majority of _whites_ want. The ONLY way for Obama to become the next POTUS is for him to figure out some way to get the majority of _white_ voters, who have consistently proven they are racist, to vote for him. Keep in mind that, even in the close elections of 2000 and 2004, the will of White America was never in question: In a system such as ours [theirs], where white voters so consistently vote against our [and their own] best interests, I just do not see how Obama has any chance of becoming the next POTUS. |
