Obama and Hillary...

are both members of the Council of Foreign Relations, and if you read Obama's article carefully, in the Foreign Affairs website, you will see that he supports wars for business intersts.

Your interpretation is a stretch. Especially considering the fact that both of them are against the current Iraqi occupation. Seems like a wholesale abandonment of commonsense to extract one's own interpretation of someone's character over evidence of deeds commited in reality.

And again, to elaborate further, Obama and Hillary are typical elitist politicians that fail miserably to differentiate themselves from the lot, whether Republican or Democrat. Singling them out for reasons unfounded and unproven is disingenuous.

Here we go again

I recall Nixon's campaign slogan was vote for me and I will end the war!

Read Obama's article in theCFR mag web site regarding his plans for future wars.
If you need I will find his precampain statements regarding Iraq and Iran.
Hillary suppoted the Patriot act.
This is not about hating, but folks who want to cover for this or that think tank make me wonder.

I'm going with Obama, if not him, I'm leaning towards Ron Paul because of his willingness to get rid of the Federal Reserve... anyone but Guliani

Ron Paul has no chance of winning the republican primary. And, being at heart a loyal republican, I am sure he will drop out of the race after the primary, if not before. His name will not be on the ballot in 2008.

If I had to predict a winner, I would say that Guiliani will be elected. He is the absolute worst guy running for the job. But the electoral system is intentionally setup so that who ever the majority of white voters vote for ends up with the job. I think Giuliani will win the republican primary and Hillary will win the democratic primary. And, of the two, Giuliani has more support amoung white folks.

I can't imagine living in this country with that bigot at the helm

Grant it, we had the Bush devils in office, but at least the son was an idiot at hiding things... Guliani is nothing but a facist bully, he proved that with his leadership tactics in NYC as Mayor. In this case, give me the devil I don't know... it pretty much can't be worse

And who is not racist? Both of them are racist, most of the people on this board is racist, what's the difference in that? If you look at Guliani's record in New York City, he implemented a police state which took close to 80% of the advancements from non-white residents as well as funding for those specific districts while catering for his. Guliani is the biggest trap for what I've seen of Ron Paul's initiatives in Texas, they aren't even in the same scope, while he himself fights and has brought forth every instance of argument which he stated in his voting. I know both of these devils and going with the one which handles my concerns, which is the abolishment of many of the government agencies and one private one.

Cool Changing the Way We Look At Things

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Everything Has Its Time
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

I recently had a conversation with a friend that iterated to me that she relly didn't know exactly what Barrack Obama was all about. When I say that I mean to say that she wasn't sure of his stance on the issues governing the upcoming presidential primaries, and general election. I find that that is something many of us are short on...not just about Barrack Obama, but with all of the candidates, democrat and republican alike.

With that said, I found the site listed below as one where you can get some understanding about all of the candidates. I ask that you also take some time and do some research of your own between now and the Pa primaries so that when you walk into the voting booth you are knowledgable about your choice, before you vote. And please, by all means, don't just find out about the presidential candidates, research those that are running for the senate (Federal and state), find out who is running for the local offices, and find out where they stand, and whether or not it stands with and for what you believe.

First and foremost, if by chance your not, or you know someone that isn't registered to vote...please get that done and get it done soon. This is one election that is more than important for us as a people. The decisions we do, or do not make in the next year are not only going to efect us, but it will effect us for generations to come. I address, for the most part, my own...Black America...but as Barrack Obama says...we are not Black America...we are not White America...we are not Asian, Hispanic...Arab, Indian ofr any other America...we are The United tates of America...I am a combat experienced Viet Nam Veteran, and I know that when I went to Viet Nam, I went as a representative of The United States of America...whether I liked what was going on there or not, whether or not I was a flag waving war hog or a baby activist...I was still a representative of The UNited States of America. Today, I am a 57 year old supervisor for a local cleaning company that loves his wife and love bicycling, football writing, music and chess...and more than anything in this world, I love the Lord and life and freedom...and I am still a representative of The United States of America.

The war, for me, has shifted from the rice paddies of Viet Nam to the political arena of America, and I continue to represent my country. I haven't been satisfied with the way this country has been governed, and I believe that it is truly a time for change. I believe that when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change. They way we have been looking at our country needs to be changed, especially if what you've been looking at is not satisfying to you...it is time for a change...the Bible tells us that there is a time for everything under the sun...now is a time for change. With that, I want to close this brief message with these words from Stevie Wonder:

A Time To Love
Music: Stevie Wonder
Lyrics: Stevie Wonder & India.Arie

We have time for racism
We have time for criticism
Held bondage by our ism’s
When will there be a time to love

We make time to debate religion
Passing bills and building prisons
For building fortunes and passing judgments
When will there be a time to love

At this point in history we have a choice to make
To either walk a path of love
Or be crippled by our hate

We have time to cause pollution
We have time to cause confusion
All wrapped up in our own illusions
When will there be a time to love

We make time to conquer nations
Time for oil exploration
Hatred, violence and terrorism
When will there be a time to love

At this moment in time
We have a choice to make
Father God is watching
While we cause mother earth so much pain
It’s such a shame

Not enough money for
The young, the old and the poor
But for war there is always more
When will there be a time to love

We make time for paying taxes
Or paying bills and buying status
But we will pay the consequences
If we don't make the time to love

Now's the time to pay attention
Yes now is the time~~~ to love~~~~~love
A time love~~~~~ love~~~~
A time to love~~~~love
Please, please won't you tell me
When will there be a time to love~~~~
Please, please won't you tell me
When will there be a time to love~~~~
Please, please won't you tell me
When will there be a time to love~~~~
Please, please won't you tell me
When will there be a time to love~~~~
Please, please won't you tell me
When will there be a time to love~~~~

Will there be a time to love
When Will there be
When Will there be a time to love
When Will there be
When Will there be a time to love~~~~~~
When Will there be
When Will there be a time to love~~~~~~

Please won't you tell me
When will there be a time to love~~~~~~

When you change the way you look at things...the things you look at change!
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers (and sisters) in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God...this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
Minister Mitch
