THIS POEM IS DEDICATED TO ALL THE MEN WHO ALWAYS USE THE PHRASE “JUST LIKE A WOMEN” or “SHE’S JUST BEING A WOMAN OBVIOUSLY NOT KNOWING THE REAL MEANING OF WHAT A “WOMAN” TRULY IS. I NEED TO BREAK IT DOWN…

Lying here, looking up at the sky watching the raindrops descend
Relating to the constant down pour…..
That reminds me of my tears,
And all the years I’ve endeared.
Being a woman
Feeling lonely yet not alone.
Having someone to love yet not being loved
Looking as if I possessed the universe to the world outside
Perception is a damn lie
Suffering behind closed doors
Continually in the line of phlogiston (FIRE)
Losing every drawn out battle
Because I just keep settling
But…I’m…
Just Being a woman
Mentally I feel that I can’t go on like this no more
But I keep submitting to my own will to stay
For my heart enduringly gets in the way.
I’m perishing inside oh Lord!!!!!!!…Being a woman!
But my flesh screams out for the one man that can cool my sexual fire.
But wait a minute,
this is the same man that can’t even seem to extinguish the flames of my mental and emotional desires
Yet I remain
Do you feel me?
I REMAIN!
Despite his idiosyncrasies and shallow thoughts of me
I sustain!
But I’m…
Just being a woman???
What did God put some of these niggaz on this earth for?
Just to love a woman for a moment, use and abuse, then pass us off for some whore?
Who can be sexy, shake her ***, and reveal her body, but do nothing more?
Consistently hurting that woman of truth that can support him in climbing that tower of success
One foot behind his every step
There to elevate him when he falls
And there to clean up his mess.
But.. ..I’m…
Juuust Being a woman????
Am I worthy of nothing else but fulfilling his imperious desires?
To tranquilize his ego and make him believe that he is more of a man than he really is,
Placing me in the position of being a liar?
Seen but not heard, is what he would like
Existing, but not without the permission of his co existence?
Sike!
I am a woman
And a man should respect me for the REAL meaning of such
Tell me, Am I asking too much!??
Treat this woman as a queen
And your thrown will be built tenfold.
Because a woman with strength that has your back
Is the one to behold.
And a woman that is there through thick and thin,
Everyday getting it in,
Is a woman you want to plant your seed in.
You may be thinking right now that “like a woman” my wind is long
But I’m fighting for my title fellaz
Because your Interpretation of who I am is wrong
I’m not
JUUUST BEING A WOMAN!
I am
A WOMAN!!!!!
AND A DAMN GOOD ONE.

i hope i asked the right question. forgive me if i took this thread a different route,.. i mean, reading what you just wrote is beautiful. i was just curious and wondered,... can men who become women do a better job than us real women?
