should take a break,
forsake the day in favor of nite;
labor in delite
as we lay by the bay
or on the lake
take our clothes off
with the world closed off
to our privacy
such that
there'll be no rivalry
4 noone will notice our absence
there'll be no bribery
4 noone 2 probe our motives or actions.

Lying there with no fig-leaf to cover our birthday suits
it'll be a big relief to discover that from the 1st day, proof
existed that we enlisted
longevity instead of brevity
to guide our relationship's duration & if
we had 2 do it over,
we'd repeat the sweet success of NOW..

We pledged 2b a couple that snuggles
bending, reinventing ourselves
thru a coalition of positions
uplifting each other thru body shifting
-- nestled pretzel-like
inside the vessel of each other's smother
sculpting style
or
we can assume the spoon pose
as the moonglows
& glistens in the distance & offer no resistance
2r bodies being festivals of flexible fun.

Others may show fists & knuckles,
bristle & buckle
seek dismissal & struggle
against the full gravitational & invitational pull
of another body's emotional seconding stares,
motivationally beckoning theirs
to join @ the loins
& elsewhere to form a space-lessening pair.

We're arranged for sustained close clinging
almost bringing
our bodies 2 the point
where they anoint
the #1
as the total sum of our being.

Togetherness -- this is our anthem
it hears our wishes & grants them.
As a couple we've banished antics
they have no persuasion in our equation
an equation that finds us
uniting our optimal pieces
in a 2 hearts' parts puzzle
such that we could be writing a doctoral thesis
on the art of snuggle.
It's a Togetherness
that transcends the physical
the literal, the visible & the lyrical
& roots itself most firmly in Biblical
truths.

there is a distinct difference
between hugging, squeezing & snuggling.
The latter is a matter of true liberty & exclusivity,
the equivalent of deliverance
from the imitations on imagination
that man makes
the former 2 are leading forms
of greeting norms,
together with handshakes
show affection's appetite for family & friends.
The latter is a matter of exclusivity.
It is, in truth, liberty
from the confined, defined parameters
of exterior examiners
that inhibit vivid expression of self&self.
That's why we snuggle
host each other's most close--
ly guarded secrets
while soothing all broken-hearted regrets.

Snuggling is not merely the juggling of 2 bodies
in the air of artful acrobatics
from the back row 2 the attic,
without dropping 1 or both 2 the floor.
Snuggling is so much more.
it's a non-radical, mathematical fact:
when 1 body is relaxed within another's fold
the feeling is the MotherLode of comfort.
The equation of snuggle is:

The trouble with some couples
is that they don't do the
'will-this-last-past the aftermath
of laughter math'
