The Truth
Though Christ wasn't probably born in December,
I take this time with the world to remember.
He was born so I could live,
There is no one who could ever give,
As much as He did for me,
This year He gave me truth to be free.
You see, I wanted to be with someone,
cause the holidays play tricks on you.
When you are alone what does one do?
Try to clutch the pillow tight,
try to make it through this cold night.
It aint right,
but it is what it is.
So I go through,
knowing Im better off without you.
At least I have a small piece of truth.
Something that will give more pleasure than youth.
So I keep the Christ in Christmas,
and cross out the X,
cause santa aint no savior,
plus he dont know what's next.
Though I wont get a lover's kiss,
I wont cry or be amiss.
I got the truth this year for Christmas.
