I’m not the enemy


You are so blind and entrapped by an evil society
That you believe your own people are the enemy
Your mind is in chains , the wool over your eyes
So you cannot see



What is more important? The plight of our people?
Or your nice car , big house and six-figure salary
We do not belong in a white ,gated community,
You do not realize you’re living next to the enemy.


What will it take to make you see?
That we , your people , are not the enemy?

What will it take to make "US" see,
To "get free," unlearn, re-learn all of OUR possibilities?
Well, you've got a head start Sis,
for you see, "beginnings" can be both YOU
and ME in helping our people to see,
that we are not one another's
enemy.
