Chains of the brain are broken


22 of my 23 some odd years of life have been view through the eyes of the enemy

I allowed myself to be taught the hatred they felt for me is the way I should live my life

I worked hard to fit their mold fit their idea's of the good Negro image

I pulled my belt tight cut my hair low and smiled a nodded when they spoke to me.....almost gratefully to be talked down to me

I work their jobs wore their cloths talked their language and lived my life perusing their unreachable dreams

I fought against my personal rebellions with myself telling me to be FREE thinking I was already FREE not aware that my brain was captive

Struggled to be excepted change who I was to be them nearly died trying to live in their world

When the world they live in is shut off to reality when they don’t see that life is about living for self not living for a system of death

But what happened next save me from inner destruction

I broke the Chains of my brain

I FREED my psyche

I FREED my heart

I FREED my destiny

And choose to be ready to die before I lie to myself

I decided to live a lonely life of FREED perception never truly having anyone close enough to me to really understand
The life I have decided to live the war I volunteered to fight

The death a may have to accept the Legacy I will leave behind

I’ve released all destructive ties to the life I have left behind and picked to live the life

Of a Revolutionary

A FREEDOM FIGHTER

AN ADVOCATE OF SOCIAL AND POLITCAL CHANGE

I choose to live FREE or be killed in the process

I will break the feet of those that try to kick me when I’m down

I will push those off the latter that try to hold me down

I will BE FREE

Oh, the unbridled ambition of youth, reminds me, JABOOM, when i was your age in the 60s. i xtend a BlackPower 2u4 conviction & commitment & hope that most of your wars are fought with words even tho i know its said that as Black Men in this capitalistic society we 'Aint Supposed2Die A Natural Death;' nor, my brotha, should any of our deaths be premature. We don't need an internal Iraq. The genocide goons are going about their dastardly doings quite destructively w/o our voluntarily intervention. We are people of the sun's blaze, not sucide bombers. Fight physical oppression not with visible possessions but with our thoughts. 4a war fought with thoughts gives you a tactical & strategical advantage over the adversary. Power is Knowledge & so is its effective & efficient use.
