The Song of the Rain
As the rain falls,
I can hear the song.
Melodies of passion,
rhythms of love undone.
The drum of the marching thunder
accompanies the steel drums
pulsating against the roofs
of tin and wood.
Somebody's in pain,
somebody's in love,
somebody's in lustful bliss,
I look up and recieve each tender drop's kiss.
A good way to hide tears,
A good way to listen,
to the cars driving over puddles,
the moonlight glistens.
I cant get over the rain,
in my heart.
Perhaps the song of the rain,
will sooth.
Send a message to God,
Lord, dont disturb this groove.
