how do you tell a relative that they are making a stupid mistake?

ok i have a relative who had broken up with the man who donated the sperm to make her kid..i call him that cause he doesnt help take care of the kid,,but heres the problem...shes falling for his same lies...

now this is the reason why i'm making this thread

when she 1st got pregnant he told her to get an abortion

then told her that he has another woman and was gonna marry her..so he left my relative and didnt show back up til she gave birth..and somebody had to bring him there then...

then when the kid was 4 or 5 months old he cheated on her again and was beating her arse..even had the other female in her apt when she was gone

now that things are going bad with the other female..hes trying to come back to my relative..this fool also told her @ one time that he was going to kill her

and shes falling for his lies again...so should i mind my own business..or let her learn a lesson????

Ask her if she has enough life insurance to cover her funeral after he kills her...and enough to take care of the child until he's 18? You can't reason with that kind of mess, the best you can do is try shock treatment.

I know that u want to help but there is nothing that you can do about this. She has to wake up and smell the coffee on her own your getting in the middle will only draw you away from her. Be there for her by just being there and believe me when she needs your help she will ask you.

Ive been through this before where you try to help those who dont want to be helped and they end up hurting your feelings by siding with the person thats hurting them.

like Saraphen said make sure she has life insurance so that those babies will be taken care of

She better not let that fool back in. He's trying to play that 'I'm sorry role' just to get back in there. Been there done that learned my lesson.Never had anyone beating on me but I've done the take them back and then they messed up again. I hope she will wake up.

Even if you do talk to her she probably won't listen. She may even get mad at you for think you are getting in her business. Sometimes in situations like this you just have to let it be. Have you tried to talk to her before? If she let him treat her like that for that long she will more than likely let him continue to.

Now, if that isn't a sign, I don't know what is. Hopefully, she's sees the writing on the wall, stops playing the fool, realizes that she can get better and don't waist her time with the unneccessary .

if your relative chooses to ignore advice from family and friends,then let her find out the truth,THE HARD WAY!!!!
