Sure they are infulencial, even on grown folks (sadly). But it's on us if we do wrong, regardless of the garbage that pumps through our airvwaves and cable box.

I agree we should all know right from wrong

People were sleeping around, freakin, pimpin, gold digging ,using women and men, cheating etc, even before rap even came on the scene, so why blame rap for people's screw ups? how can a 30 year old category we call rap be the problem of millions? cmon now people gonna do what they wann do regardless if they listen to hiphop or not.

Everyone's responsible for themselves, or should be. But if anyone thinks that they are not influenced by what is on telivsion or in the airwaves bette think again. Everything from the clothes you were, the car you drive, the music you listen to and the thoughts you have are influenced by external sources.

The big difference is that we are all different, and are influenced differently and to varying extents. But let there be no doubt, it's there.

Different things influence different people in different ways. I would not place all of our issues on music. The way I see it is that no matter what the supposed influence is.. I have the power.

That's why we have stuff labeled love making music, or fight songs, I'm sorry the rhythm doesn't move me. Anybody heard of Music Psychology? It's a college major you know. Nuff said.
EXACTLY! There really isn't much more you can say... I think everyone knows the point being made. Yes, we're strong, and impenetrable. But for every one of us, there are one of them, that have been influenced by what's played on the radio. Period.

African american men and women (some) in the music industry don't own there images anymore. The videos/music men are shown as pimps/ganstars...and the women are shown as video hoes....just plain trashy!!! And for some strange reason some of these black folks (young and old) try to model their life according to what some of these no talent having a$$e$ that contaminate the air waves with that garbage...they call music!!

sooo my answer is yes
