Real Man/Real Woman
Does it bother you to hear someone say "your not a real man" or "your not a real woman"?
Would it bother you to hear someone say "your a real man" or "your a real
woman"?
Do these two situations conflict with each other? If so, why do you think that is?
Why do we feel the need to tell someone whether or not they are "real"?
What makes anyone of us qualified to tell anyone they are or are NOT a real man?
Hmmm..............

The use of the term "real man/woman" is not the problem.....it is that people have different definitions....and also some of those ideas are pretty messed up ones....ones that can change over the course of a persons life...so how much could the statement really mean?
Those are oversused terms IMO. They can be used properly if they are not overused though. I have used the terms on occaision...but not often.

^^agreed. Its all subjective, but as long as you know and believe that your "a real man/woman" then thats all that should matter.

Not at all. I find it funny when I break up with a woman and all of a sudden, I'm not a real man. But I was up until then.
Being confident in yourself is the key in self definition, self determination, and self worth. The hell with someone elses opionion. I know I'm the Realist nikka, do you?

it doesnt bother me in the sense that someone is questioning my manhood or not it bothers me cause another person would be so arrogant to assume that they would even think that they were in a position to
1. know the defenition of a real man or woman
2. that they think telling me their opinion of whether i do qualify would even mean anything to me.
I love all people of all sizez shapes and colors, but there is not a single person on this earth that can tell me how i am living my life no matter what or who they are, or what group they belong to.

To thine own self be true. If you are true to yourself, then no one else's opinion matters.

I'm a very independent and "peace from within" type of person, so I don't let what others have to say to or about me have any prolonged time with me.
I know better than anyone what I am, so what someone else thinks would weigh less on my mind than the norm. Compliments are good, they are an ego booster, but even they can be called into scrutiny, depending on who is making it.
