Is interractial dating the answer to the problems in black relationships?

It is odd that someone could bash their race and be that race.....and thier opposite sex parent is part of the main group they are bashing. Like Originata said though......it is a deep seeded self hate.

I have known lots of white do date out of race to be with someone "exotic" of becuase they think it is cool.....and that aint right or fair to the person they are dating....but it aint as bad as self hatred and bashing ones own race. I know some people of other races including white have this kind of self hatred....but there are so many in our community....it is disturbing to see. :confused: :(

The Interracial thing is the answer only for those whose chose that path as a course to happiness. The reasons for the choice, that's what needs to rationalized and considered, because after the novelty wears off-you'll be left with the reality and societal pit-falls to deal with. Just like any other relationship, how the anger and hard times are dealt with, will determine and shape the outcome. Whatever makes you happy!

It CAN be a solution for an individual......but never for the community overall. Also, the person better be ready for a dissapointment when they find out that not all members of the race they choose to date are perfect. That is the point at which it really shows how much they thought out their plan to date out exclusively.

I am in agreement with anyone who understands that IR dating is only an answer to their own failed relationships with BM/BW. It can be a sensitive issue for people as we can see in this thread but in reality it is all an individual thing, sometimes geographical, I live in Minnesota now and it is impossible to go anywhere in the city of Minneapolis and not white people, though we have as much racism as any other place the area is compact and we must all kick it together most of the time, and it is hard to have white friends that include men and women and be like i wont date you cause i dont want to be a sellout, when i lived in NYC I dont think i could have dated a white girl if i wanted to
1. because there were so many sisters around (I must say the sisters in Minneapolis are fly, but them girls from NYC had a brother on his best behavior)

2. the white girls out their were not feelin it like they do in Minneapolis, and believe me it is no joke out here many of these white women are are really stepping up there game to get with these cats not just cause we are black but we got good jobs and so on and so forth.

When i was in third grade there were probably five mixed kids at my school including myself at the same school today probably like 200, and the numbers are growing.

So i say give the group the benefit of the doubt that they truly love the person they are with.

Actually yes other races do have a self-hate mentality. Its just hush hush and on a different level. Look at the Asian community. WM and AW are all around us. I never said that any others didn't have self hate but they are not my concern nor the topic of this thread. I know in interracial marriage if a WM is involved many times its an AW but that doesn't change anything I said.

I think thats a tired excuse personally...I have nothing against interracial dating. But it should be just because you want to be with that person;)
