I have a problem with male lawmakers, judges, making broad-sweeping decisions about what women can do with their bodies. If it's a parental decision, that's another issue. If the father wants to have the baby, then he had durn better be there for life!!

I think they should have an opinion but not a "say so" that is nine months of pain and hormone changes that could have a permanent affect on a woman. what about complications with birth and stuff like that whether I say yes or no i expect the final decision to be made by the woman.

They should be able to share their view on abortion, but I don't know that it would go over well with his INSISTING that she have one.

i believe woman should listen to the opinion of the man involved...but it is the womans decision on what to do with her body...if they are married then the man concerns should be taken very seriously...if they are dating or just living together then it is totally up to the woman...we also have to realize that a child is a gift from God berfore we make any decisions one way or the other...also u have to take age into consideration also...

I think the decision should be made equally between both partners. The child is half of each partner so they should have an equal say. The woman lost her full say to what goes on inside her body when she made the decision to give her body to someone else. Now she has another person's body inside of hers. However inconvienent she might find that to be, she made the decision to give her body to this innocent child inside her and to the man who helped make it.
Regardless of his reasons, if the man does not want his child to die, she should have the child. Yes, pregnancy can be VERY difficult and VERY painful and men don't have to go through it personally. These are things a woman should consider BEFORE having sex.
The only case in which I do not believe a man should have a say is in the case of rape or if the woman's life is in danger (ie- tube pregnancies).

I would not be so selfish and stubborn to claim the baby in my belly was mine and mine alone and even though jointly made,it now is a my lone decision to make..I mean maybe a man could sue for the sperm he deposited in a woman accidentally..since she will usually claim she got preggos by accident..Maybe insurance companies will start accidental paternity insurance in the Bush years to come..
But,I do feel men have a say in the abortion decision..I strongly believe they should...I worked in an abortion clinic..My BF (now Hubs) would see me cry afterwards when he'd come and get me....But,man Cleaning and accounting for those lil fetal body parts that are all ripped apart was hard to stomach...
took some getting used to...
I can confidentally and emphatically say, mine would never want any woman he may have impregnated to kill his seed...luckily he claims he never got a chick preggos...said he was King Condom...whatever..the fact is he does not have any outside kids..and no ex ever had to be faced with the deciding the INCONVENIENT Baby in her belly..life or death...that's good...I mean no matter what slant a woman puts on it..it is deciding the Life or Death of a Fetus...that is the only CHOICE out there..Live or Let Die your own baby growing inside of you...your belly carrying your man's seed...There's no middle ground choice..Life or Death...period..luckily it is legal to kill a baby in your belly but not kill it once it comes out of your belly...luckily..
