All Men Cheat Or Have Cheated ?!?!?!?

Did anyone watch Oprah today ???

Well, she had a panel of seven married couples. Each man admitted to cheating on his wife. Oprah split the show in two parts, first, she spoke to the men alone, with their wives backstage and watching. These men spoke candidly about their affairs w/ their wives hanging on every word. They spoke of mistress', they way they organized their cheating "schedule", and the differents things they said to manipulate their wives. These seven men ( a mix of both black and white ) actually stated that ALL MEN CHEAT, and for those that SAY they don't are liars. They went on to say that the reason for them cheating was b/c they were missing something in their relationship.....( ) One went so far to admitting that he brought his mistress to the home where he and his family reside. I wasn't shocked about what they said, but I was shocked that they had the courage to reveal their methods of cheating.

The second portion of the show featured the wives, sitting alond side their husbands in a very supportive manner. Most of them in tears, but all of them willing to give things a second and in one case fourth try.

Here are my questions AC Fam.....have you ever cheated ? Or been cheated on, and if so why did you cheat or how did you handle the person that cheated on you ? Did you allow him/her to come back into ur life ? And why ?

I must say, I've never cheated on MY MAN, but I have been cheated on. AND I was devastated, almost to the point of no return ( so I thought,back then ) I was disgusted !! Just listening to these men talk about how they decieved the ones who they claim to love sooooo much. Cheating is such disrespectful thing to me !! AND how can you claim to love another indivdual if you don't respect them ????

I doubt that all men cheat. Every person has the propensity to cheat but that does not mean that they will. You cannot take 7 men who have done it speak for all men. They are only speaking for themselves.

Well, I didn't take that in a literal sense, I was just surpised that MEN, made that statement based on their experiences. Most times it's a woman saying "all men are doggs" or "all men cheat", I just looked at it differently coming from men. When a woman makes that type of a statement we think....oh she's just a woman scorned. BUT comng from men ?? Yea, it's different.

I was cheated on before. That's why I'm no longer married to the man who I supposibly trusted. Did I forgive him? NO!! My feelings and my pride was flushed down the toilet all at the same time.

So after a couple of months of recooperating from the highest level of Pisstivity we went to court and I got the house, the car, the kids, the dog, the dishes, the furniture, the vases, the paintings, the bank account, and mad child support.

That'll learn 'em darn 'em!!!

My grandparents were married for over 60 years. I guess people aren't that committed anymore.

Some women are just as bad though. Lots of snakes in da grass.

Let me just say that you have to have a woman to cheat so if a man has not dated he has not cheated. All men do not cheat, especially on their wives, girlfriends are different, I cheated, i wont anymore, oh yeah and women dont?!!??!?!?!

the amount or percentage of women who cheat compared to men is irrelevant.

I wasn't targeting MEN alone, It's only represented that way b/c that was Oprah's show. We all know that women cheat as well. Why do men use that as a defense with these types of topics ????? It's like playin tennis .

I don't believe that all men cheat. I don't think it's healthy for women to go around believing this, especially Black women.

Oprah should have included married men who haven't cheated and why?

Ohhhhh, you've got that right. It doesn't have anything to do w/ ones gender, it's just something within that person. I have friends who have "good men" , but they're scandalous !! Get caught up and their husbands take them right back !!

When I caught my b/f I was so hurt that I wanted to believe that it wasn't true. I trusted him and had our relationship on such high ground, that I would give anything for things to instantly return to the way they were. Yea, I had it bad. I have to give you props !! B/c I took mine back, but not being able to trust him grew old. So old that I was forced to wake up .

Now that would've been a well rounded show. She ( Oprah ) made the ststement, that the reason for the show rooted from years of hearing cheating stories. So she actually wanted to hear from the men first hand about WHY they did what they did.

Maybe I should've left out the statement, that all men cheat. OF COURSE we know that's not true for all men to do anything. I was more interested in how AC men/women would or have handled cheating or being cheated on.
