"Just because He doesn't limit himself to just sleeping, dealing, or being friends with black people doesn't mean he's not a "conscious" black man."
Uh-huh. And this is the very SAME "brotha" that will willingly open up his wallet for "Becky", but in the same breath will call a SISTA a gold-digger?
Reality-check. This is NOT a color-blind society, and no , "We are the world" is not the mantra of the day in this country.
Nothing in this society is NOT precluded by RACE. And if you think that it is...then you are living in a society that the rest of us are not---utopian.
And that ain't happening.

I think the real issue shouldnt be her race, but the fact that he used to be involved with her and now he is seeking her counsel...I believe I stated this before but who goes to their ex about their relationship issues?!?!?!?
I just read an article in Essence about a woman who is married to man who was still talking to his ex....and her name was Becky too(and she was white) go figure!.....
Anyway, if a man is asking another woman about his interest towards you then he obviously doesnt feel strongly enough about you to make his own decisions as a grown arse man
And what was the point in telling you about the opinion this chick had of you???, she should not even come up in you guy's conversations...its all about you hun......
Cut this loser loose!

Maybe not in your little world. Cut the bull-sh*t. EVERY black person don't play the race card when NOT necessary and this is one situation where it was UNECESSARY to go there. It was a Punk-A$$ move and a pathetic attempt to eradicate what could be assumed to be true about her.... She's IMMATURE.
Grow the Hell Up... cuz this ain't exactly no BLACK PANTHER ALL POWER TO THE BLACK PEOPLE SOCIETY EITHER

Listen up. You know what, Becky? YOU cut the bullchit. Don't bring it to me. Basic, unevolved and unimportant people like you come a "dime a dozen." Don't bring any chit or your self-defeating and hating issues to me. Come BACK to the here and now.
Oh yes. That little "microcosm" or world that you proclaim that I live in? More brothas and sistas become enlightened when APOLOGISTS like YOU are exposed--and discarded. For YOU serve no fundamental purpose. You got that? I've long suspected that you were a TROLL, but I gave you enough rope to hang ya dam self.
And you came through today admirably.
WHO the hell is Becky to wield the baton on the sista's views, let alone her maturity, for the sista IS allowed that. Now what you anhd Becky "BOTH need to do is grow the hell up".
Speaking of the 'Panthers? I'd strongly suggest that you bone up and become enlightened about OUR BLACK HISTORY, then maybe you will understand the Panthers just a little bit BETTER.
(muttering to self) I have to meet 'n greet a arse-hole everyday....dam.

I want nothing more to do with him.
Am I overreacting? I would appreciate any and all comments.

Please read what you wrote one more time.....doesn't this seem just a tad "high school"?

Depends on how you look at it. Sounds like she slung mud on your name for the sake of envy. Also, if he's going around having sex with his "friends" like that......don't deal with this guy. Already three kids from a divorce along with sleepign with one of his co-workers? Hmmm. If he has patterns of behavior that seem to be like he he's only out for one thing, I'd say watch it. Sounds like he maybe a good dude but his judgement is screwed.
LETS GO BEYOND THE WHOLE RACE ASPECT, HE'S NOT CONCIOUS AND ETC. VIEW FOR A SEC (since it looks like we're having another one of those arugments brewing in here again).....lets look at the scenario in general. He's friends with her and seeks her help in pursuing yet thinks you have a flaw. After a while, she'll pick out more flaws just to throw salt in the game. I don't know about you guys but I've seen people that were friends sleep together and things jump off bad when one of the people in the relationship end up dealing with somone else. So, I say......it seems like some drama could be up ahead for you. If you like being drama-free, then you did the right thing. But thats my observation.

If it had not been for the history we share with white people, I would not view this situation as an utter shame. A Black man asking a white woman whether he should get involved or not with a another Black woman??
That don't even sound right.
Asking a white man what he felt about a brotha and should I date him is something that would have never come to my mind in a million years; It's just out of order.
