Dilutes the purity of the Black race?!?!?! C'mon my man. If you can find a pure-blood Black person born and raised here in America, I have some land to sell you in Chernobyl. We can all have pride in our culture; past, present and future. However thinking that an interracial couple, which is the exception not the norm, is the "destruction of the Black race is ludicrous. Just my humble opinion.

granted black people are currently well mixed. what is the solution for that? to mix more or to stop mixing?
i think we need to stop mixing and the advocacy of mixing. right now, the advocacy and the normalization of mixing is a problem. when the young sister is approached by the devil, she needs to know that it is not correct. she needs to know her story. she needs to hear the voice of her ancestors.
we need to set the correct example for our youth.

Ashe! And so it is!

the blackman shall define himself
i was sired from a black father on a black mother. i was raised in a black hood by black people. i am pure.
do some of us have genes from the devil in our blood, yes we do. so what? i am not defined by a rape.
i define my own self.
there may well come a time when we have to go up against these devils. it could be a local thing or it could be something bigger than that. i have done that in the past and it can come again.
when the deal go down, what side will you fight on? that is how i define blackness.
we do not need folk who will sit around confused when the fight starts. we need people who know where they stand.
those are the pure black people.

I may not get any love on this from the past points made but, in all honesty......you won't be able to control who people mate with. And I'm saying that from alot of observations I've made with family members and friends of mine. There will always be our people who will stick together to have families that are purely not mixed. My thing is......I don't say hey, go out and date outside your race because thats a bogus mentality to who you are. People go for who they go for and I don't control who people date when it comes to their personal relationships. But if they ask my personal advice, I will tell them straight up everything I feel on the matter. Especially with IR, what they should be prepared for and why they should think it through carefully because of what our society reflects in terms of racism.
And I'm sorry but, some really close friends of mine are mixed and I got the most upright respect for them for what they deal with racially; maybe its because I know them personally they've had my back more than even straight up white and straight black people have. And also because I'll never know what the hell it means to be caught between two races or mistaken for completely different one. If you want to disagree me with on these points, its all good. Just my personal perspective on it.

actually, many cultures exercise tight control over who they mix with.
we seem to be one of the looser groups. that is because we have not had the power over our own community.
it is time that we start to take responsibility and control over our own.

yeah, you're right, we have been one of the more looser groups. but you have to consider individual choice and selection of a mate based on personal issues. and also, other cultures do control whom people should be with. but you also have people within a culture and race who are against the norm of what is standard in that race. could be because a non-relation to the race they belong to, self-hatred, a bad experience(s), or just plain rebellion because of being forced into going with what the race/culture holds to high regard. you'll have those who follow and those who can't/won't. its happened in alot of cultures.
our communities vary more than what they used to if you ask me. you have black people on all levels of class. which is another aspect to look at IR from. could be why Geoarge Lucas and that sista are together.
don't insult my mixed folks, james. they had no choice of who they were when they came out of the womb. no one does when they are on this earth first. those who have self-hatred of who they are all-around as time passed......well thats a different stoiry. i can't speak for them and don't respect them either.

some black women who are with white men feel they can accomplish more when they are married, and have kids by white men. Ive heard a few say this. Ive heard some sistahs say black men hold them back and white men give them hope. Im like WTF? But if she likes george lucas let it be, theres too many women out there to worry about a ONE
