When the Bible mentions equally yoked, it is referring to two Christians. It does not refer to education, health, or wealth, only faith. And it is exclusively talking about marriage and not shacking or relationships. For example, a poor Christian can marry a rich Christian, but a Christian should not marry an unbeliever rich or poor. If you are not a Christian you can marry who you want as long as it's legal. If you were married before you converted, Paul says you should stick with your spouse, unless they don't want to be with you anymore. In this case you should leave (and he exhorts you to stay single if you can abstain).
