Rings?

This was a question on the radio this morning, if you get engaged or married and it falls apart and yall seperate men do you ask for the ring back and women do you give it back?

Good question: But it has two answers -

Engaged: If the break up is his fault, he doesn't get the ring back nor should he ask. If the break up is her fault, she should return the ring and if she doesn't, it is okay for him to ask.

Married: It isn't okay to ask for the ring back regardless of who's fault it is. If she gives it back voluntarily, by all means accept it.

If the guy cheats then the girl should def. keep the ring.. But by law if the marriage does not go through... the woman must return the ring...because a ring is a verbal contract that a woman is agreeing to marry the man. Since that is broken the ring must go back to whomever purchased it.

I'd just give the doggone rings back if they ask for it, regardless who was at fault.

Just curious why would a woman want to keep a ring of somebody that it didn't work out with?
