Are we tired of one another??
I I have wondered for a very long time--are we truly tired of each other?
What I am saying is--Are Black Men & Women getting tired of each other?
For instance--a Black Woman gets murdered or raped--hardly anything is said. A white Woman goes missing--her name is all over TV--people come out of the wood-work--searching for her all over the place.
Brothers and Sisters desrespect each other at an alarming rate. I recall being called the "B" word by my kids Mom. You would think I'd use the word--but I refuse to do so. Because I wouldn't do what she wanted me to do. I Love my kids 1,000% and then some.
We now have names for the sisters of the hood and other places. We use the "B" word to describe a Woman quickly. Yet we're now all over the media wondering why "white people" are saying the same things. But they can't--but we can drop the "N" Bomb on a regular basis. Coming up with creative ways to say it too. Using an "a' instead of the "er". It's still the same thing.
These days, many Women would rather date a thug, a player or a no good Man. But saying a normal guy--a good Man is not what she wants. Too many times--we look for the fast women and thugged out brothers. Having kids out of wedlock is the thing. It's getting to be quite common for many young Women to have "multiple" babies daddies. It's so common to see a Man with multiple babies Momma's too. I have a younger brother with 5 kids--3 babies Momma's. Child support so deep in his pockets--he is married to two Jobs on a regular basis. But then again--he is just one of the Men who pay support.
Lastly, how can a young Woman think highly of her Man when making the baby--but when the child is born--they both can't stand each other. He then says--she is not good enough to marry--but she is my "Baby Momma". I am a witness. I got divorced from my children's Mom. She wanted to share herself with others. In the age of HIV--I had to get away. Catching her--not once--but many times in lying situations. We can't point fingers always--but someone needs to wake up. That Black Men and Women...
I'm a Black Single Father--age 50 with 2 sons (9 & 11 yrs old).
Lastly--it' used to be rare--but it's creeping up slowly--that a black mom will run off and leave her kids with the daddy and never look back.
I truly think we Black People have lost touch of what's really important in life.
When will it change---if ever?

Well Lee,
I must say that despite any treatment I've received from my fellow black brothers, I still love the ones I haven't met that may make a difference. Like you stated, I don't understand how you can be so in love with someone when you make the baby, but when the baby comes all hell breaks loose. As far as the thugs go, I would loooooooooooove to date a normal guy, I'm just looking for him and in South Carolina, the pickings are slim because everybody wants to be a thug or a player and sometimes it gets frustrating . But I'm very patient and I'm never going to get tired of my beautiful black man.
As far as what's important, alot of people have lost touch with that. Most women that find a man that'll give them money when they ask for it think they got it made, but that same man won't love you the way you need to be loved or treat you the way you need to be loved. When a man finds a woman that can put it down in the bedroom the way he wants it, he think he has it made too, but that same woman may be putting it down to someone else to! People have lost touch with what's important because very few things are done out of the goodness of one's heart, it HAS to be, you do something for me and I'll do something for you. That's why alot of people are caught in these unhappy relationships because they're in it for the wrong reason and that's what makes them loose touch of the most important thing.

Well- thank you very much. I stopping dating a long time ago--due to these type of people I was meeting. Either you are the king of the bedroom or you have the fat wallet. The honesty seemed to have slipped away during a summer nights dream or something. The subject of how we treat one another will never grow old.

I don't think we tired of each other at all. I was in the situation where she was pregnaunt had the baby and after that it was world war 3 with us. Long story shortened but she has baby runs out of the state, I hire a private investegator find her bring her back and put myself on Child Support. World War 3. I've seen it happen.
I don't think black women want the thugs I think those kinds of women are more in the minority but you know how the worse of anything we do gets the most attention. I say overall black women just want a regular black man. I also think some of our black men throw that out there to make themselves feel better for getting turned down. I've said it in a previous post but I'm not a thug/gangster or whatever and I've never had problems meeting black women. If she wants a thug then she ain't a woman I need to be persuing, so who cares what she wants, she don't want me so walk that shizt off and go to the next 1. Somewhere along the way we developed unrealistic images of each other.

As a black man I'll say thank you and you right we are too fly that's why other races try so hard to be like us. I just don't see other races of women in the same light as a black woman.
