Trust
Do you have trust issues ? What does a person have to do to make you trust them..? Were you more trusting in the past, but not so much now...? Is the past still controlling the person you are today, your relationships..?

Nice thread.....
I have boxes upon boxes of trust issues. It takes alot for me to trust someone though i never got to the point of fully trusting someone. I can't pin point if i was like this in the past but i think if i was it has gotten bigger and deeper. Trust has been an issue I fight with on a daily basis. Given that I am the type of person that shuts down quickly and shut people out at the same speed, trust is a very important factor. Be it friends, family, man they need to be honor their word at all times. One slip up and i can shut down. I haven't spoken to about 5 members of my family because they have broken the trust. This has been a habit of mines I've realized. I don't give much chances for redemption because in my point of view your word has already been tainted. My trust issues are more deeply rooted which i will not go into but i kinds know where they stem from.
That just my 2 cents.

I have been through a lot of things in my life and have very good reason to have trust issues if I choose. However, I choose not to make people who have done nothing for me to mistrust them pay for the mistakes and issues of someone else.
I will give my trust....until I have a reason not to. Then its over.

I think I've always been the same. I just don't like to play the fool. I don't let the past control my relationships though. I prefer to just take things on a case by case basis, while still learning from the past.

let me put it like this......if he does me wrong by lying and cheating i kick his trivaling *** out the door with his clothes...thats if i don't burn them first.....his stereo, and his bills. and if i'm mad enough i might make him take the kids. i wouldn't take him back because i won't trust him again

For the most part no. I usually try to deal with everyone starting with a clean slate. A person's actions then dictates whether or not I should continue to trust them.

Oh...and if they screw up....then they should worry 'bout trusting me!

I trust everyone while I trust no one, I deal with people as they come.

(griot paraphrase)
Fear and neglect are the enemies of love.
Broken trust can be healed with the softest whisper...and the simplest words.
Timing is everything.
