Bridezillas
I watched a couple episodes of the show Bridezillas and it is a wonder men want to get married at all. The behavior of some of these women are so over the top. The one common thing I hear from these women is, "This is MY wedding and I want things done MY way". Good Lawd the attitude is absolutely horrible.
One brother left the woman at the alter, now that was horrible but all the mess that we women get worked up about such as the invitiations not being folded a certain way makes me understand more the concept of why they run. lolol
For those who have participated in a wedding, have you seen this show and is it realistic? What were some of your experiences?
Why the sisters got to have a stripper pole at the bachelorette party? So stereotypical.

i have seen worse. a few years back my cousin was getting married to her baby's father. she didn't want nothing to spoil her day. people was coming and congradulating(sp?) her. brides maids was pampering each other up and the grooms mens was looking good. and finally the time came for the wedding to start. we all took our seats and watched as the bridesmaids and the grooms walked hand in hand down the aisle. the music was good and at last, the bride comes down with the biggest smile on her face. she gets up there with her soon to be husband then and they both stood face to face to the pastor. he started saying the vows until he came to the part "if anyone here wishes that these couple not get married please speak so now" well, my drunk auntie, who had be drinking all that day, got up and spilled the beans that the groom had been sleeping around with the brides lil sister and that she's pregnant too. (yes, both have babies by the same man.) everybody in the church was shocked. even the bride was too. the groom was standing there looking stupid. well the bride hauled off and slapped him across the face knocking him into the pastor. and then she threw her flowers down and went at her sister and started kicking her arses. plus her mama went at my aunt to kick her arse for spoiling everything. everybody was moving and getting out the way. it was hilarious.
well, the wedding turned out to be a mess. no one got married. she didn't talk to her sister for a long time. she did eventually reconciled with her sis and she married someone else who treated her like a queen and her son like his own.
btw, her sis had a son by the exgroom, who ended up being the deadbeat dad to both babies. now, ain't this drama or what?

I've watched it often and the behavior of many of those "women" disgust me. Some have acted appropriately, but the one that took the cake for me was this gay white man that kept crying and saying THIS IS MY DAY PLEASE JUST LET ME HAVE MY DAY. Sad but there are alot of people who act like idiots for no reason.

I wonder does shows like this, especially sit-coms and "soap operas" influence many of us in our actions and searches for a worthy mate? And does it influence our own opinions about our selves? If not, explain. If so how and in what areas?
In case anyone's wondering about me; I don't watch'em, except for a few minutes b4 get'n pissed for giving my time and energy to a screen.

I would bet any money the shows influence the watchers of them. Especially if you are watching with your 3rd eye closed. Utter insanity I tell ya. Why else would advertisers spend billions of dollars to push there products if they didn't know the power of suggestion.
Here is an example I have noticed in Chicago. It may be happening elsewhere also. I noticed a lot of sisters walking around with small dogs in a purse. Where did that insane idea come from? None other then Paris Hilton. I notice that it is a certain type of sister who is into that madness.
One thing I noticed about the men on this show, they all appeared to be weak. The women would be yelling at them telling them to shut up, running over them as if they were children. Especially the black men.

Valid Point. Could it be the motivation in airing such nonsense is to make a mockery of our people or to attempt to brainwash with propaganda like on the evening news. Our people have to keep our 3RD Eye Open.

If anything, these types of shows showed me how NOT to be. It has also shown me the kind of man I DONT want. Pushovers cannot be Kings of the Kingdom. I dont want to be above my mans throne...I want to sit beside him as he LEADS.

You're kidding me about this...right? Oh my goodness...it's always that some show their arse at a wedding...or after a funeral. We need to stop this kind of behavior.
