I've never dated anyone online. I guess I'm too vain for something like that. I've always said ya gotta test drive a vehicle before making a purchase !! It's hard enough dating guys that you've known for ever and had the opportunity to interact with. I just think the element of TRUST would never be there for me, and that's the most important thing in a relationship. Things are so crazy these days. Ya never know what ur gonna get when ya meet men live and in person. Online dating is a definite NO for Phat.

I never got involved in the online dating chat room thing. Not knocking it but i have found that it is too easy for people to lie and be someone they are not over the internet. So i guess it would be okay to break the ice and get to know likes and dislikes and things of that nature, but before i could consider dating that person we would have to meet in person and have a face to face conversation

Interesting comments...
Over the years I've met many men and women from online groups and such...we've had meet n greets and one on one meetings...I've only had one bad experience. It turned out he was just the nerdy type and not some mad man. Through it all, I have acquired several life long friendships. I'm glad I did it. It's wonderful to have different places and people to visit for a weekend getaway. Not sure if I will do anything like that again, but I'm glad I met each of those persons. They each impacted my life in different ways.
So getting a couple of new girlfriends and a few men friends out of the deal is not so bad.

I never tried it, but a friend or two did. Both stated that they were horrible experiences. Lies about occupations, status, pictures, weight, you name it....lmbo!

Well, if you take in consideration all the recent murders and DL Special on BET, I would have to say that dating regardless of what venue as far as a sister's concerned is a crapshoot nowadays. More or less, a sista has to live in prayer , do some checking around( i.e. friends etc.) ,really get to know who you get involved with outside the bedroom and in.. Because, we're in the last days period anything is possible.
