Dating a an Associate/Co-worker's Ex..

Would you date an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse of a casual friend or co-worker?

When I say "casual friend" somebody you know and you may talk with or lunch with infrequently.

Would you risk losing your connection with your friend or co-worker in order to date one of their exes?

My thoughts first since I asked the question.
The problem at hand involves two former co-workers.
The one lady went on a couple of dates with the guy (may have slept with him/she hinted to me) but he did not get into her.

The lady he is seeing now he is crazy about.

Both are my friends and my advice to the one he rejected is...get over it.

Am I being harsh?

If he found love with somebody and so did your casual friend then good for them.

Nope that relationship is doomed to begin with. There's history there and you don't need the drama. I personally would never date anyone I know in anyways ex's.

I understand your feelings on the history tip, but if the history was a couple nights in the sack then it ain't that deep.

For me personally at my age, it depends on the circumstances involving my casual friendship and how much I was digging the man.

I don't knw I kinda agree with Lady D: the two co-workers are not all that tight and apparently it wasn't any love lossed between the guy and the first chick. So yeah they have every right to do their thing. Now on the other hand you know how messy females can get when they get jealous. They pull out all the stops. She could start wanting this man with a feverish desire and do all kinda underhanded stuff to get his attention. So I kinda agree with you too DymondGurl. In the end unfortunately it depends on the other woman and how mature and classy she is. She could leave them alone or really cause then some unnecessary drama.

The drama is what im trying to prevent. No matter if it was a one night stand or a year it's a messy situation to get into because we are all human and tend to do stupid ish when it comes to our emotions. I say another place and another time we could deal but not in that situation. I would hate to lose my job or be unhappy there because of some bullish.

I would not let a jealous ex keep me from a man I was digging.
