Physical Attributes -vs- Inner Substance What Really Matters To You

In my opnion, I think that a person should be physically attracted to the other person. There has to be some sort of a physical attraction. No one wants to be intimate with someone they can't find attractive. By intimate I mean much more then just sex.

While I look towards a physical attraction. I also find personality attraction just as important. Both have to be there. Without one I can't be with a person.

Me personally I prefer someone who has inner beauty. Don't get me wrong, I dont want a duck, but i don't want someone who has beauty and nothing inside. I like conversation, someone who can make me laugh, someone who makes me feel good when I talk to them. And oh yeah, she gotta have nice thighs and pretty feet! :biggrin:

There definitely has to be balance. That is why I look for a feature or two about a girl that turns me on....that is all I need....but it is important. If yall got a strong mental connection that is great....but it will severly hurt the persons feelings if they try to get intimate and you are recoiling in horror, or visibly not impressed and into it. I can read peoples face and if I see that they are not in any way attracted to me, I wont persue anything. I dont want to be hidden from view or have the girl push me away when we should get close.

I totally agree. It's not so much a physical thing, although I think my husband is the finest thing walking. But looking at a person's mouth will give you tons of insight into how they take care of themselves and how healthy they are.

I won't lie, If my husband didn't meet my standards of good looking I wouldn't be with him. And we all know we want personality over looks, but looks don't stand out. You have to be attracted to them in the first place in order to want to approach them and get to know them. I know that sounds superficial, but it's true, and both men and women do it.

I am committed to someone, but initially there should some physical attraction followed by assessing one's character, etc. But on the whole, substance does work for me. For there are many that lack character.

Yeah, it makes sense. Like I said, "as long as I can stand to look at her". Everyone isn't meant to be with someone they find attractive. Sometimes you have to give that up.

The inner substance is what really matter to me because these are the things that really should be pass on to your children and the inner substance is what makes the love grow and last longer.
