I have never had a problem meeting BLACK men..neva.
I meet them, befriend them, love them and leave them, but I have neva had a problem attracting male attention. I hear sisters say this all the time and it has always baffled me. I ain't Halle Berry or anything so I know it ain't my looks. I am a minister of the gospel so I dress sorta conservative.

I ain't a bible thumper either.....I keep it real.

I 'ont know what it is. I am tryna figure it out myself.
Attractive sistas will NEVER have that problem, so of course you can't fathom it. C'mon now.

There's somebody for everybody out there. The problem is that people throw themselves at the same knuckleheads they claimed they want to avoid. But thats just me....

Of course anyone can meet SOMEONE

But, are they who you are looking for?

I dont think standards can be too high. It's a personal thing.

They have to be a fit for you.

Noone is perfect , but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Yes, yes and yes! The key is to know EXACTLY what you want before you start looking. Open heart, open mind= RESULTS.

I agree with most of you. I also believe in being patient with a man that hasn't reached his full potential, but only to an extent. Some men, SOME men, procrastinate too much or talk out the side of their necks about wanting to reach their goals. Women need to be vigilant for the brothas that are lazy, slow to hustle, and the ones that are cubic zirconias and not that genuine diamond in the rough. If a man doesn't have anything but is actually trying, he may be worth the time. Still, there's nothing wrong with going after someone that is established. I think it's ok to have standards, but be flexible because God may be working out a blessing. On another note, men and women being single may not always have to do with standards. There could be personality issues, hygiene issues, how one dresses, etc. Whether it's superficial or meaningful qualities, everyone that has been single for a long time might have to self-reflect and determine if it's something going on with them, or not, as opposed to something being wrong with the opposite sex.
