I love black men. My father was a stroing, sensitive, hard working black man, and I wouild not have it any other way. It just seems as though the available ones are very hard to come in contact with. I love intellectual men, witty, compassionate, wanting to allow himself to know that he deserves to be loved without reservation. Is there someone out there who is having problems coming in contact with available black men, outside of MD?

Really? I tell you, the small number of black men here is ridiculously unbelievable! And, if they are not already married, they are gay. It gets to be difficult, and I am not getting any younger.

Be careful NeedtoKnow, you are beginning to sound like a desperate woman, and that is not a good thing at all. You might end up being in a worse state.
Here is an excellent poem by our very own Robbby2003. Sometimes it takes a while shifting through the weed to get to the wheat. :)
Quote:
A rose
There's nothing wrong, with being alone,if the right one hasn't come along. Stay strong.
Somtimes we have to hush, don't fuss, because in the end we don't no as much. There's no rush.
Your do righter and soul igniter is near. Don't have to fear. So soon being alone will disappear.
You don't want no mess. Girl you deserve the best,if they're not acting right then throw'em back with the rest.
Girl, don't rush. There's no need to fuss. In the end the creator takes care of us.
In time you'll be fine, the right one for your spirit and mind will come in your father's time.
Girl, don't rush try not to do to much, he's taken care of alot of your problems in such.
Lady, some times when our knees hit the floor. Oh you know. He'll have the right one that loves you ,and your flow at your hearts door.
Sometimes if we're still, he'll give us our desires, but in his time and his will.
Keep your strength and don't let everybody drink. Keep your chin up and think.
It may seem slow, but the lord knows, how your story goes. Trust in him and ends up smelling like the perfect rose. That's the best wish a brotha could wish for a young sista I suppose.
A rose

Wow! That was an amazing truth put into words! Thank you for that! I'm not desperate, just going through a particular issue with a man who is indebted to a woman who took care of him, literally, like a mother hen. He loves me, but is indebted to her due to her constantly helping in huge ways, with money to get him out when his family could not, providing cell phone, car, house to live in. Anyway, it has been a long since I have even spoken to another interesting man. I know I will be fine, it just takes more time, for the true mate that God will bring will surface without hesitating! I will wait on the Lord! Thank you, again!

what you have is a parasite, not a man.
you should step away and clear your system of all parasites.
you will never have a good man if you are involved with parasites.
the reason you do not have a good black man is your judgement is poor and your self esteem is low.
you need to get yourself cleaned up.

You live in Columbia MD which is the next town over from me. You do know it is predominately white and family oriented so the majority of males in Columbia are either married or in a relationship right? You want brothers you have to go to B'more. I would say DC but.....
