It depends on whether the Smothering is due to a need for protecting that other person, how much you protect that person, or if it is just solely an Insecurity issue.

i am not tha smothering/jealous type, i have been living with my man for tha last 2 and a half years and he rips and runs everynow and then with his friends tell hours of the night but i dont trip based on the fact that i trust him. i trust that when he say hes going to his panta house hes there i have no reason to dought him, and if i did i would not be him, u cant be with some one u dont trust, at tha same time we dont want to be up under each other all tha time to that gets boreing it gets a point where your like man go out with your friends let me breath.
