I cannot stand to hear them say that there are no good men and that there is a man shortage. The value of both these statements is false! Black women need to make better decisions!

Pleazzze!
Young and/or immature sisters make the same mistakes that young and/or immature brothers make. Like we don't pick sistahs because of stupid of superficial reasons. I know I did in college and highschool.
Hell, when I was in college, if she was 'foine', that's all that mattered. I didn't care a lick about her personality, dreams, educational standing, etc...And guess what; I blew alot of good relationships because of it. Some of them really hurt me bad. But that gave me no excuse to denounce all my sistahs. None, whatsoever.
Stop the self-glorifying demonization of our sistahs and vice versa. We all have made immature decisions when it comes to relaitonships. What's important is how we learn from them and evolve. Using past disappointments as a means and excuse to rebuke and insult each other is well, IMHO.....immature and culturally devisive.
There's far too many brothers and sistahs out there for any of us to think we've captured a representative sample of what is really out there.
