This is so funny.
It is like an American soldier going up to the Japanese camp, dressed in full uniform, and telling them he comes in peace. While he is at it, he also tells them what he has been hearing concerning their treatment etc. I wonder if we would find him sitting down drinking tea with the Japs and would they trust him??:whistling

What was said that would make anyone assume this guy's a troll? I'd assume that had he been, he wouldn't be openly admitting about him being one of the only (if not THE only) white person joining a forum geared mainly to African-Americans. It's extremely sad that someone new who doesn't fit what's considered normal around here has their motive for being here questioned, when really this guy hasn't said anything to make anyone believe he isn't sincere. Some of us blacks just need to get over our distrust of every white person that walks the planet.

I don't have to 'get over' the way I feel about whites and what their character has revealed over scores of years. If you want to be an apologist, appeaser, accomodator for whites, then that's your call. But don't come on a pro-black board demanding that we (or I) adopt the same ideology that you firmly command.

Whites kill me with their 'curiosity' of us. Like we are caged animals at a zoo; they just want to coexist in our habitat and be among us to learn more. Yeah right! This is the same type of mindscrew the Africans fell for (hence the beginning of slavery). This aint National Geographic or the Discovery Channel. You don't see us running to their sites wanting to 'learn' about them.

Whites can join all they want; but I am very leary of the ones who go out of their way to make it known they're white and that they 'like us'. When Corals joined, she didn't wear her english heritage on her sleeve. When other international blacks joined, neither did they. Hell, even domestic brothas and sistahs don't feel the need to join stating "Hey, I'm half white, 1/4 hawaiin, 1/8 Indian, etc...

Get the point....?
