Lightbulb Dare To Believe

Many of times we might come across someone doing something that we'd like to do or going somewhere we'd like to go;or having something that we'd like to have.Soon, we'd find ourselves wishing that we were doing what they were doing or going where they were going or having what they had.
The dictionary defines a wish as:a desire of longing for something. How often have we found ourselves wishing for something to no end?Wishes seem to be no more than fleeting illusions of farfetched fantasies.Wishes oftentimes are linked to children's' fairy tales and crossed fingers with tightly closed eyes.Great expectations are not to be found in wishes. On the other hand,we like to dream of having some of the things we long for in life come true. The dictionary defines a dream as:a series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring during sleep a daydream;reverie.A wild fancy or hope.
Here we find our dreams to be of no more consequence than a wild fancy or hope. The substance of a child's' ambitions now is no more than a fleeting glimmer of what could be.One would now consider it a hazard to dare dream. Dreams are the things that a mans spirit soars upon to reach his plateau of the possibility that a thing could happen.
An accomplished wish or an accomplished dream may be achieved through effective planning.Again, the dictionary defines a plan as:a detailed scheme or method for the accomplishment of an objective. Here we can take heart in the fact that if we practice meticulous planning,we can fulfill our dreams and wishes. If we setup a detailed schedule of events and follow through with them;then we can fulfill our ambitions.Effective planning sounds simple enough but here too,we must remember; the best laid plans can go afoul.
A plan then is the best recourse one would have to achieving his goals.Still, when you set-to effect the plans and details of your work to achieve your dreams and wishes,we sometimes fall short of achieving them: way short.Sometimes our dreams and wishes are illusive and seem to escape us,leaving us with bitterness and resentment. We get discouraged in our souls and become bitter within ourselves and towards others. It is during these times that we must keep heart and believe that our dreams and wishes can still become a reality:you just have to put your hope in GOD.
No wholesome dream, wish,or plan can come about without GODs' involvement."Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.'
James 1:17
Again, the dictionary defines hope as:to wish for something with expectation.A desire accompanied by confident expectation. It also defines expect as:to look forward to the occurrence or appearance of.To consider reasonable or due.As you can see, in order to hope for something,we must also expect it to occurr. From the simple definitions of man we learn to expect things when we hope for them.So much more should we expect them then when we align ourselves with the word of God.
"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord."
James 1:6,7
What we must do is realize, somewhere along the way, if you truly want to accomplish your goals and bring order into your life, you'll have to bring and end to yourself (set yourself aside) and turn your attention towards God.If you would just consider this one majestic statement from God,you'll really begin to wonder why you didn't allow him into your life so long ago.
'Is anything too hard for the Lord?' 'At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.'
Genisis 18:14
The Lord asked Abraham, "Is there anything too hard for the Lord?" Then he went on to unfold before Abraham a portion of his future. He told Abraham (at the appointed time) he would return unto him.We spend so much time spinning the wheels of our lives and getting nowhere when all we need do is realize that God also has an appointed time for events to unfold in our lives too...if we'd ask him.
'And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.'
Matthew 21:22
We should learn to go before the Lord in confidence with our prayers expecting to receive as long as our hearts are aligned with the order in which God wants us to walk.To be sure, God's timing is perfect:when you know that the creator of the universe;who holds heaven and earth in his hands and spoke light into existence and stands beyond the reckoning of men:when he has the concerns of a lowly frustrated person before him and he inclines his ear to hear the soft scrambled words as they come to him and he speaks his word on your behalf:you need not continue to worry any longer;help is on the way!
'So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.'
Isaiah 55:11
In Abrahams time, God told Abraham that he would return unto Sarah and she would have a son; as you can see, God kept his promise.
'And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.'
Genesis 21:1,2
So you should not doubt nor consider yourself unworthy when you come before God's throne of grace.God qualified you as being worthy when he shed his precious blood for you.You need not do anything beyond accepting the gift of the Lamb who considered you worthy of his blood.
'Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.'
Matthew 20:28
So as you draw near to God, remember that he loves you; he's there to help you and to not ask for his help or praise him is to grieve the Holy Spirit who comforts you along your path of life.So draw near, tell him your heart and all that's in it and taste and see the goodness of the Lord:he is forever tender and merciful and he will take up your cause.
Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God,the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint;and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31

That is the longest introduction I have ever read, even Jesus himself did not make them that long because he knew his audience would have fallen asleep. I'm only playing. LOL :)
