Beauty secrets
Hey everybody, not sure if this was posted here already.
Do you have any natural beauty secrets that has been past down throughout your family. I have two that I have been using for a while and they really do wonders.
1. Baking soda and water as an exfoliator.(make a paste) After you use this, your face will be so smooth.
2. Milk and Honey(or just pure honey). You make that into a paste and leave on your skin for 20 minutes or so.
My Family has so many that they have been using for years and they really work, and you can guarantee that they won't have chemicals in them to destroy your skin.

now mine is ........and this differs for everybody.....
as soon as you get out the shower, without drying, put on baby oil... it keeps the body soft,
and when your done taking a bath, step out wet and put castor oil on all over. it keeps the body soft and moist.
does anybody here have a better solution on how to do self pedicure?

It is better to put oil or lotion on when your body is still wet because it traps in the miosture(i can't find a better way of saying it). I use vitamin E oil, I never knew castor oil worked too. Thanks, afrocentric.

I like to keep a bottle of witch hazel under my bathroom sink. It is a natural toner for the skin and costs less than the name brands you find in stores. A sliced cucumber from the fridge will reduce the swelling of puffy eyes in the morning. Instead of expensive makeup removers, use olive oil and a cotton ball.

Oh yeah I forgot!!
My grandmother used to use baking soda to brush her teeth along with Colgate Toothpaste.
We used baking soda and warm water to clean out the frig and to keep the garbage disposal fresh. We used Johnsons Baby Oil while taking a bath in the tub.
For cold season (If we got one) my grandma would use Goose Grease to rub us down and the next day you didn't have to worry about being sick. And Vicks Vapo Rub didn't have nothin' on Goose Grease..LOL. Nowadays kids get sick just because and their always going to the doctor. All that could be avoided if people kept humidifiers in their homes and had children wash their hands on a frequent basis.

Yep Goose Grease! Chile keep living. You have to remember now I grew up in the Midwest (Chicago, IL) as a child and it get's hella cold. I'm also a child of the early 60's so young folk don't know nothin' bout' that. No need to search it up because that's what they did back in "The Old Days" as my children call them.
People are so quick to run out and buy cough meds if their children has the slightest sniffle and of course it doesn't work. Give them a little TLC, plenty of water and the mist from the humidifier and they'll be 'aight.

OH! I found a beauty secrets thread! Yaaay!
A SKIN GLOW!
I mix cornmeal, virgin oil & epsom salt after you take a shower. Wait about 5 mins to rinse off & then pat dry yourself. It works!
And use a nail brush & some hydrogen peroxide to whiten those nasty yellow nails *eeek* . That one works to; and I dont have to go to these little nail shops anymore (thank goodness).

Putting baby oil on right after a shower/bath does work...
For softer feet put some vaseline on your feet, then put a pair of socks on. Keep the socks on for as long as you want, when you take them off your feet should be nice and soft. I do this once a month to keep my feet nice...there is nothing more disturbing than seeing someone (especially a women) that has feet so dry and crusty that they look like you can strike a match on those bad boys....ewww
