i know exactly what you mean.

now if i can add to that pedicure.....i just learned the easy way.....while taking a bath and soakin the feet, get a sugar file, file down the heels and the toes til the dead skin is off. keep doing it til it's soft enough for ya. and as you get out..like you said...put vaseline and sock on them feet, it will be looking good the next day.

Its highly recommended, I still dont know why though. Im into the whole beauty-thing so I will figure out why probably later today, lol. They are cheap too, like 35-59cents from any beauty supply store.

I have had this stored away in my email, for a while as a reminder...

Aspirin Mask

Aspirin contains BHA (Beta hydroxy acid) which is a powerful defoliant and great at helping unclog pores and clear blemishes. It's recommended that you use the Aspirin mask / scrub once a week.

-Take 6 - 8 uncoated aspirin tablets in cup or bowl and crush them in to a powder.

-Add a few drops of warm/hot water, allow vera gel or honey, now stir until you have a thick white paste. You may need to add more water to achieve the right consistency.

-Spread over your entire face, sit back and relax for 10-15 min. You'll know when 15 minutes is up as the mask is likely to start falling off your face.

-Wash off the mask with warm water and a gentle cleanser, as you wash gently massage, the grains will help exfoliate and reveal softer, glowing skin.

-Gently pat your face dry.

I have yet to try it; so I wouldnt exactly recommended using this method. Its up to you all.

I've heard of the aspirin mask, but never tried it either. I do know that aloe vera gel is great for the skin. And baking soda is a great exfoliator for the skin. And adding to the ingredients in the aspirin, I've heard that it also has salicylic acid, which is the main ingredient in alot of acne products.
