That is probably the best remedy. Most of these products does more harm than good in the long run.

I remember trying tree oil or something like that and this natural mud stuff and they both brought me out in small bumps all over my face. Most of these manufacturers are mainly out to make money.

Check your diet for too much fat, soap and water and a good steam one a week will probably do more than the said product.

Stop looking for the quick fix and do the right thing, such as: changing your overall diet, cleansing or detoxing from the inside out, and exercising regularly like you're supposed to. I'm amazed at the number of people who regularly eat pizza, potato chips, white sugar and drink soda pops, but are dumbfounded as to why their skin cells are so clogged with grease and oil.

If you're going to use this type of product, do it inconjunction with a highly nutritious diet and a good detox program. You wanna eat foods that are considered alkaline, not acidic. Also exercise regularly in order to create a good sweat. You can use a steamroom or sauna to accomplish this as well. Salt derived from internal sweat is the best cleansing agent you can find.

In my opinion, it would be a waste of money to use this stuff without changing your personal habits.

Just a thought.

Proactiv does not work. It did nothing for my skin. The best products are always natural products. Proactiv has too many chemicals and it can be very irritating to the skin. I use aloe vera soap and gel on my face and it makes my face really smooth and clean.
