I think she didn't want to come out because there are people who won't think she's a good role model because of her sexuality. I really believe that whatever youdo in the public eye, you will be scrutinized regardless. There were rumors about her for a long time anyway, so I'm not suprised at all. And as for being a good role model, parents should be good role models, not celebrities. Celebrities have proven to be more dysfunctional than those of us who are just "regular" people. I hope that Sheryl is happy in revealing who she really is. I'm sure she's aware that some people may be turned off by her revelation, but hey, it happens. Not everyone is going to like what you are about, that's life.
