Tour De France
Have any of you watched any of the Tour de France on the OLN Channel. Its some real exciting bicycle racing and some good scenery to go along with it.
If you have not watched you have missed things like 120 mile bike races with climbs into the mountains where the last part of the race is a 8 to 12 mile climb up a mountain pass. And these guys are booking too. On the average they have been going about 30 miles per hour. This may not seem like a lot, except that it includes the mountain passes. Going up that may only average about 15 miles per hr, but coming down they get up to about 60 MPH, except on the many curves. On straight aways they may average 45 MPH.
You get to see on the broadcast many small French villages as well as much beautiful countryside, along with the mountain scenery. Then you gotta see some of the crazy fans along the way. Many are decked out in stuff supporting their country and there is an occasional streaker. You can tell most are soused on beer.
If you havea not, check it out. Its usually on 3 times a day, 8:00AM, noon and 8:00 PM.

No, I have not seen it, I didn't even know it was televised. I thought it was over though because I kept hearing something about Armstrong not winning. Don't quote me on that though, I don't know much about the sport.

The tour de Frances is one of those sports that mostly europeans talk about and americans talk about when they win it. I have never watched it cause i dont watch sports for the scenery and it takes too long, interesting as it may be i will be glad when Lance retires so they will cover some more exciting events on TV

It's not over yet. Armstrong fell behind one day, but he's back in the lead.

The tour will be over this Sunday, they have 5 more days to race and it seems that Armstrong will win again. Its a timed race and he is about 2 and a half minutes ahead of his closest rival. The hardest part of the race, through the mountains is over.

In a coy kinda way.. I like 'Ol Lance. He's good at what he does. Maybe after her retires, he can kick back and listen to his girl Sheryl Crowe sing some tunes to him.

It's Like That
Due to the current financial restraints the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Guess how much the bike that Lance rides in the Tour De France costs???
Its probably about the same as the price the other riders use; they are all custom built.
