READ BEFORE POSTING - Rules on Posting News
In this section, All AfroChat residents can post anything they find news worthy. All residents are encouraged to report news in any area of interest to them, by them, and from their perspective.
A vital part of our mission is to empower people to communicate: sharing the diversity, history, sites, sights, sounds, joys, concerns, news, and people of the Black and African American culture. What you write and consider newsworthy is important to us. AfroChat's News forum is for news that YOU wish to share and report. At AfroChat, your perspective on what's happenin' is far more valuable than what we hear from others outside our world.
Because we want all residents and guests to value our news as a valuable, credible and reliable source for news; we have some strict standards on how this category of content is to be submitted:
1. At least one link of the reporting source must be provided.
2. Do not place link-only news. The post must contain some brief mention of the news, and your personal commentary or opinion.
2. Must not be an advertisement.
2. You must believe the news to be credible.
3. The news must not contain overtly offensive images, multimedia or language.
If it does, we ask that you not display those portions of the news, and warn readers of the content.
4. No one is perfect, so proofread your news post before submitting.
5. There are no limitations on the category or topic of news; so it can be any type of news you want to share with the community.
6. Give Reputation for good news postings! Support your members that take the time to keep the community informed.
Posts that do not comply with these standards will be deleted without warning. These rules only apply to the News Forum! All other forums categories are open to general discussion and are not subject to the standards of the News Forum.
New Threads (news postings, not replies), will show up on the front page for others to see.
