Oprah decided to champion women's causes over her own black folks many years ago and this is probably the primary reason for her riches, because she safely crossed those lines. You'd think (therefore) that this issue in Jena with the lives of children at risk would unharden her heart, but her commitment to some and not others is obviously sincere and since Tyra is her protege, her show following suite isn't a surprise.
This is especially disturbing seeing that Oprah has an huge forum for debate and could add sympathy to the kid's problems by just exposing the truth, race isn't the issue as much as racial injustice, so why ain't she down?
Maybe her white PR person and her paranoid hairdresser said it ain't a good idea.
