Jena, another redneck stronghold of Amerikkka, has a different look this morning. It's blacker than it's ever been.

Yeah, in a town where 3,000 mostly white rednecks and trailer trash dwellers embrace hanging nooses from trees, while charging black kids as adults; Our people are making a strong message in support of the Jena 6 black kids.

It appears that hundreds if not thousands of protesters are there, wearing black.

Oh yeah, I should mention that Obama, will not be there, Oprah will not be there and Obama has made no statement of protest or objection.

I just heard an interview with Bryant Purvis and his mother. She stated that he wasn't even part of the fight, but was a bystander. A white student implicated him in the fight and he was charged even with conflicting testimony stating that he was was not involved.

And around 7am we got a call from our youngest daughter; told us she's there! With other Ga. State students. We had no idea she would be there. Ooooooooo the youth! Often they tread where wiser heads chill. I'm pleased she recognizes injustice against our people still exists. And will fight against it for our people's sake. She's also clear of differences btween our people and old/new European descendants.

Also some NOI bruthas are there and I'm almost sure that brutha Malik Rahim 'n nem (Common Ground) are also. I breathe a lil easier even while knowing that reps of Blackwater may be there.

Afrocentric, I wish none of the protesters had to be there and that this was a scene from a movie based on 1950's racism - not reality in 2007. How did the justice for all system, err....... "justice for whites-jail for blacks system" get to this point anyway??? Just thought about what I just typed........it's always been this way. What do we do to change this so that my son (when I have him) doesn't have to endure such hardships 20 years from now???

sumry, i wish i was there so i could see our people's faces. ....and check out those FINE chocolate cuties with the dreads and locs........but anyway...just to see the hurt from the parents and thier family. to see jessie jackson and the other senates for that state would've been a learning experiences for me.

i hate to say this but it's going to get worse 20 yrs from now. let see, this is 2006, in 20 yrs it'll be 2026. by the time you have ur son we'd be fighting eye to eye. forget the bible verses, the political rules, or the laws. we are going to be FIGHTING. and hopefully, i'll be hiding in the mountains when that time comes.

Afrocentric, I agree with all you've stated. I wonder when did school yard fighting become a crime anyway??? If that's the law, I should be under the jail. I remember one parent wanted me arrested because she thought I had cut her daughter with a knife she was pretty badly bruised and cut. I told the principal I didn't cut her - just old fashioned knuckles. He laughed so loud and said he already knew what happened as he had talked to the bus driver and several witnesses and that I didn't cut her just beat her almost to death with my fist and that "she" had started it. He let me go back to class with a warning and nothing was done as he said the witnesses and bus driver backed my story. Needless to say this girl never messed with me again.

But back to the topic - this was a fight edged on by the whites. If they weren't ready to rumble - they shouldn't have stepped into the ring (hung nooses from the tree). Punish the boys by suspension, but not jail.

Let me tell you growing up in Louisiana this is normal. I'm 35 golden youth years thru the early 80's and we still had a white park and a black park. It was a unwritten that we were not to go there. I guess growing up in that state is where my real deep rooted hated comes from, they are 20 years behind race relations and the race relations in the rest of the US is terrible, so image 20 years behind terrible.

Okay I'm really digging what we are doing out there (even though I'm not the biggest march fan) but I hope we take all this energy and put it back into black people everywhere in this country. I hope this brings some of our pride back amoung us. Yes this was terrible but this can/has been repeated in every state, city and town in this country.
