So this is what it's come to. While profanity, gender attacks, and other forms of vile language can be used, suddenly people feel the hypocritical need to censor the standup comedy routine of comedians.

I think they should put a notice on their door and list the words and content they will not allow before people choose to perform at and participate in their entertainment venues.

Griffin, who has appeared in movies such as "Undercover Brother" and "Date Movie" and the TV show "Malcolm & Eddie," was performing at a Black Enterprise magazine event in the Miami suburb of Doral on Friday when he was cut off after using profanities and the N-word, said Andrew Wadium, a spokesman for the publication.

Censorship in arts is ignorant.

I heard about this on the news. My problem with it all is that he told them he had two different ways to perform the act. He was given carte blanche and then had it snatched away...
He's a comedian performing in front of adults. The facilitators should have made it clear what they expected and what they would not allow.

What amazes me is that they got him in the first place. I mean really, it is not like they didn't know Eddie Griffins style of comedy.

Serves him right. He does not have to use the "N" word to be funny...I hardly find it amusing.

You know the use of the N word should be abolished in our vocabularies because of the double standard and hypocrisy messages conveys to the public. We use it all the time around each other, but a white person can't use it on us because it makes them racist. If the word have such negative effect black people need to stop using it.

Anyway these people know why they pulled the plug on Griffin, we know its not because he used the N word but its more like a payback for their pal Micheal Richards, don't think the Man forget about his incident.
